Eight months later….
Lorenzo was drumming his fingers on top of his desk in his study as he stared at Diego.
"You still haven't found her yet? After all these months of searching?" he inquired.
"No, boss," Diego replied.
"It's like she disappeared into thin air, boss. Maybe she's in hiding," Leone said.
A knowing smirk appeared at the corners of his lips.
"No. People like her don't just give up until she's finally six feet below. She's somewhere else, probably gearing up for round two. And that would be her last round, 'cause I'll make sure I kill her this time. I won't let her get away," he vowed.
"You may go, but keep searching."
"Yes, boss," they chorused, marching out of the hall.
He reclined in his chair, swiveling around in his seat.
"Where are you hiding, Maggie?" he asked.
