Lorenzo's POV
Today is Gio's funeral.
It's been raining heavily nonstop since the early hours of the morning.
It was still pouring as I got dressed and ready, and we all left for the funeral.
Gio had wanted to be buried beside his father and mother.
I intend to honor his wish.
Mother and the others couldn't hold back their tears as the priest was saying prayers for Gio.
**FLASHBACK*****
"Are you being serious right now, Gio?"
I asked with steepled fingers, gazing at him.
"Mhmm," he hummed.
"You're not joking?"
"No… Why do you seem so surprised? I love the job,"
he asked with a smile playing on his lips while swiveling around in his seat.
"So you want to be the owner of a big farm and a barn. That's your utmost wish and heart's desire?"
"Yes, it's cool, right? Growing fruits and vegetables and rearing animals. I get to produce food; without my work, people won't eat, don't forget that."
