Dominic's POV
"Luca, that son of a bitch."
I stood staring at the window, my fists clenched, the pulse pounding in my ears.
"He didn't have the decency to wait. And Leila? Well, she didn't exactly fight him off, did she?" Jocelyn circled me,.
I spun, "Enough, Jocelyn."
She shrugged, "I'm only telling you what I heard. Luca wasn't being friendly, he was making his move while you were lying there, barely alive."
"I know what you're doing," I growled, "You want me to hate Leila. You want to twist the knife until I can't see straight."
She was not daunted, "Dominic, I'm here just to make you see the light from this, she is not as innocent as you think she is. You deserve better than being played by them."
"They didn't play me." I spun away, fisting my hands at my sides. "Luca and I had a deal. Leila would choose. She was always gonna choose, and we promised not to interfere. He- he betrayed that."
