The air in my office was thick with tension as Nathan walked in, his expression grave. I leaned back in my chair, fingers drumming against the polished wood. "You look like you've seen a ghost," I remarked, raising an eyebrow.

Nathan placed a file on my desk and stood there, his arms crossed. "You might want to see this," he said, his tone clipped.

I opened the file and scanned the documents. It was a detailed report, much of which I already knew about David. But there was something new—a name that stood out like a siren.

Nathan nodded. "She's been linked to several transactions tied to David's illegal dealings. Her role isn't just supportive—she's actively involved."

A surge of anger coursed through me as I slammed the file shut. "And where is she now?"

"At the mansion," Nathan replied, his voice cautious. "With Eliza."
