Richard was eyeing my reaction but I stayed calm and collected.
"And did she send you here?"
"No! I came to check up on you. We had such a good time last time," He said. I nodded and stood up.
"I think you should leave now," I walked to the door. Richard followed me and held my hands.
"I didn't come here on Rachel's behalf, I genuinely just wanted to see how you're doing," he said.
"Thank you but you don't have to worry about me," I said firmly.
"I'll see you tomorrow," he said and kissed my cheek, before I could respond, he was out of the door. I inhaled deeply as I heard a truck sound and I went outside.
"Hello, Ambrose," I greeted.
"Hi!" he smiled at me cheerfully. I entered his truck and he drove us towards the village. He was drinking a beer and vibing to a song.
We drove for ten minutes before we saw a small village in the distance, it looked so lively and stunning, a mariachi band was playing and some people were dancing in the streets.
