Ian's POV
The mood was definitely not what I imagined it would be coming home. We had started our day hopeful and excited, only to have it blow up in our faces. I have never, in my life, heard of such a thing as this molar pregnancy. Now, not only were we left heartbroken, but I had never seen Hailey look this broken before. Not even on the day Juan attacked her. Even then, she seemed stronger, as if she knew she could overcome what had happened to her. This was different, seeing her try to fight back her tears. It wasn't until we got into the car that I dragged her towards me and she began to sob heavily.
"It's going to be okay, Hailey. I am so sorry," I whispered, rubbing her back and smoothing her hair down comfortingly.
