CHAPTER Thirty-Nine “Who are you?”

  Lochlan’s POV

I was shocked to see this man standing in front of me when I woke up.

“Who are you? Where is King Alex?” I stuttered. The chains around my hands and feet rattled as I moved to a sitting position. I needed a bath or shower at least.

The man smirked, a gleam of amusement in his eyes. "Oh, I'm afraid King Alex won't be joining us anytime soon," he replied smoothly. His voice held a hint of arrogance that annoyed me. "As for who I am, well, let's just say I am someone who has come to make you a deal."

I narrowed my eyes at him, confusion mingling with my grogginess. "A deal? What for? I am chained up like a criminal, I am in desperate need of a bath, and you want to taunt me with deals?”

The man chuckled darkly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well, Lochlan, you are quite the notorious figure. A rebel leader, they say. And as for the chains, let's just say it's for your own safety."
