-Isaac-
Blood dripped down my face, the copper smell covered me like a thick blanket as dead bodies were scattered around me. I had fought with all my might and lost count of how many lives I took, but it didn’t matter. They never made it past me, and my little bird was safe.
But for how long?
It would take a few days, but they will regroup and try again. They had found us now, and they would never stop.
Not until I made them.
Maybe Joanne was right, I needed to help her, and now, with this warmth that moved under her skin, I knew it for sure. I could turn her; she was strong enough, and we would take back what was ours together.
She would rule beside me as I wanted from when we met, and no one would stand in our way.
I didn’t dare to go back to them until I knew I had killed every last one of them and patrolled the woods. I didn’t trust Dale, he might have warned us, but he didn’t help us.
