CHAPTER 14

  ARGON

I stepped in fully, drawing closer to Brielle. She just stared at me in confusion, looking back at her hand, then at mine.

She doesn't know why I want her to hold her hand, but I do.

I want to feel that wave once again. I need to know what it is.

Standing before Brielle, I tilted my hand, repeating my order, "Give me your hand. "

"Oh... Okay." She shivered, lifting it.

I stared, patiently waiting for it to fall right into my palm.

And when she placed her hand on mine, I felt... Nothing. There was no wave like before. It was just plain. Almost like an empty space.

I couldn't feel that vibration any longer.

"Why? I know what I felt. Why can't I detect it again?" I grumbled within.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, but I ignored her.

"Is it because I'm not holding her properly? Maybe that's why, " I assumed.

Out of desperation, I clenched on to Brielle's hand, leaving her stunned by my action. She wasn't expecting that.
