The door opens and Madison entered the room, with a tray of food.
My head turned away, back to the closed glass window, staring sadly at the tall tree outside.
I heard Madison place down the meal she brought for me on the small bedside table and the bed lowered as she sat beside me. She touched my hand and my eyes remained on the trees, watching the branches as they slowly moved in the wind.
"Please eat something," Madison urged me.
"Rain," Madison called.
My head turned to her.
"Please eat something before going to bed."
My head moved, telling her no.
My back turned to her as I change position laying on my right side, allowing her to know I wanted to be left alone.
The bed raised where she sat and I felt her lips on the side of my face, kissing me.
"I'll be downstairs if you need me, and a warm bowl of soup is behind you if you feel like eating something, before sleeping," Madison informed me.
