*Danika*
A certain noise woke me from sleep the next morning. Then, when my eyes peeled open grudgingly, I was greeted by the bright sunlight penetrating through the opened window pane. The curtains were flowing freely, casting the shadow of the draperies over the room, giving it an aesthetic semblance.
"Good morning, Ms. Danika," greeted Nadia, refusing to call me by my name as I told her, instead of adding the Ms.
I smiled, even though I wanted to scold her for leaving the window open and causing the sunlight to nearly blind me. "What's the noise about?" I asked groggily, referring to the commotion assailing my ears from downstairs.
"The Watchers caught a spy last night. They brought him before the King. I pity for his life," she uttered, pushing out her lower lip in gesture, making a sound down her throat. I could tell she wasn't happy with the fate that had befallen the poor fellow, whoever he is.
