“Speaking of others who want to convince you Ares is the devil, I might have a bead on Alvar.”
“If you do,” Magda looked at her friend, “it’s because he wants you to.”
Dimitra scowled, “really? You think he’s this much better than I am?”
“Yes.” Magda didn’t back down. “I’m telling you Dimitra, some of the things I watched him do in his office was mind boggling. He was chuckling at something and I asked him what was so funny one morning this week and he said and I quote ‘I’m fucking with the president’s emails’.”
“He wasn’t in the president’s emails.”
“He was and arrogant about it too,” Magda sighed. “Dimitra, he could give you a master class.”
“I wish he would,” she said without hesitation. “I mean I’m irritated he kidnapped you and spanked you, but at the end of the day he was keeping you safe from Jasper and Trudy, so I’m feeling it evens out.”
Magda noted her mother’s scowl and then had a thought. “Speaking of Trudy,” she looked around the room.
