CHAPTER 79

  Kamille's POV

My preferred car choice was not available at the moment, so I selected from the options they had. Now all I had to do was wait for the car.

The doorbell rang again. That must be Chris.

I walked to the door and ushered him in.

"Welcome to my humble home Chris," I said as I released myself from the brief hug we shared.

"I'm glad I made it," he replied with a grin spreading across his face.

I took him to the living room and we settled down. "Would you like anything? Water? Soda? Wine? Money?"

He laughed lightly. "Water is fine."

I went into the kitchen, got a bottle of water with a glass and served him.

"How is it going? Where are the kids?" He asked as he placed the glass back on the mini tray I served him in.

"Oh they're upstairs with the nanny," I replied.

"Oh, that is okay. I hope they are getting better?" He asked, his eyes not leaving me the entire time.

Whoosh! That is a bit uncomfortable.
