Dave's POV
The sun was barely up, casting a dull, gray light over the city, but the weight on my chest was already heavier than the day before.
The shipment I had been waiting for was just a few hours away. The timing couldn't have been worse, not with Belle out there and Zane still breathing. I needed to tie up loose ends, and fast.
I sat on the brown leather swivel chair in my study, my hands running over my face as I tried to think.
I needed to find a way to get the attention of the drug enforcement agency off my back before the shipment arrived. Every second counted, and I knew that one wrong move could bring it all crashing down.
I reached for my phone, my fingers tapping rapidly as I sent out a message to my men. It was time to surround the Perri mansion.
