Hospital

In the hospital, after the fiasco, Lucian manage to coax Roxanne into getting into bed with the excuse of her resting and giving her ice for her swollen face. After sending the family members out and of course Adriana and her family, he entered the bathroom to clean himself up.

Noah sent the clothe, which he, Lucian changed into, and for the first time in his odd year , he decided to style his hair and spray cologne. Roxanne was shocked when she saw her father looking more handsome,was reeking of Men's rogue. But she did not have the strength to talk because her dad was already nervous, and this was the first time she has seen her father looking nervous.

Lucian upon seeing his daughter's shocked face, he coughed, then said,

Roxanne, you got some explaining to do',

Because since she woke up, she has been resistant to that woman and her sister affection that she found it disgusting, which was surprising. For the past six years, he had been trying his best to reveal their true colors to his daughter but she was blinded by her want for maternal love that she couldn't tell what was right or wrong. Plus, he was worried that she would be devastated if she finds out that they have been using her, that why he didn't try to change her mind, make her realize that these women are snakes. Thank God , she realise her mistake, or else the consequences would have been dire. What Lucian thought was true for the consequences was really dire that she, Roxanne, lost her life.Roxanne heard her father as she pressed the iced bag near her face looking anxious,she didn't know where to start, should she tell him that she had died and has come back to life to fix everything, to rekindle the love between him and mom, that she knows the truth.

The maids in the house needs some changing, and the kidnappers are not simple', Roxanne said while trying to avoid the question.

Lucian knew that she was trying to change the topic but the house maids really needs some changing, as he thought of this his gray eyes gradually turned cold while he took out his pocket to tell Noah to fire the maids in the house.

Roxanne heaved a sigh of relief, she knew that her father did not entirely believe her and also knew that she was trying to change the topic but at least that was enough to change his train of thought.

After making the call, Lucian looked at his daughter who sat on the with an iced bag presses against her face that gave her this pitiful look as she kept glancing at the door every now and then, worried that she break her neck with all these discreet look, he patted her head while saying,

Rest, you just woke up and has been through a lot, so rest, when she comes I will wake you up, don't worry',

With that reassurance, Roxanne closed her eyes to rest, Lucian left the bedside when he was sure that Roxanne had fallen asleep.

He sat on the sofa, started doing his work, while Noah who just arrived at the hospital brought some documents that needed to be signed.

A low-key car drove into the hospital parking lot, the hospital director Mr Brooke, stood at the side as he waited for the passenger to get down. The door to car opened, a long and thin slender leg with a sliver anklet which seems to make a twinkling sound stepped out , then followed by the othrr leg before you see a graceful stepping out.

Good evening, Miss Caputo, and young miss, Anna, how are you doing?' Mr Brooke said as soon as Leah stepped out of the car with her little tail, Anna followed her closely behind, she was still dress in her school uniform, which leah tried convincing her to change into a more casual wear but she said disagreed saying that she wants papa to see her in her school uniform, at these words leah could only raise them hand in the air with the notion of saying that she gives up.

Am here to see the girl that I saved few days ago,' Leah said while holding the flask and trying to keep her daughter at bay with the other.

As they walked through the empty corridor, because visiting time is over but it does not apply to Leah after all her sister had madw a huge contribution to the hospital and rumors has been going around that she is fourth master fianceè chosen by his deceased grandmother, so only someone with a dearh wish will try to impose on her the rules.

As they walked through the hallway that had white paint and tiles, the air reeked of antiperspirants, the hall was devoid of any visitors, the ones there, were the nurses and doctors in charge. The hospital was almost quiet if not for the constant chatter of Anna as she tried to distract her mother's thoughts.

Leah was already nervous and her daughter, God bless her soul was not helping. Mr Brooke showed them the door and with a wave of Leah's hand, he bowed and left. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door.
