Chapter 85

Liam POV

The day had finally come to an end, and I was surprised I still remembered the way to the cave. I had only been there once, six months ago. As I pulled the truck to a halt and killed the engine, my hands began to shake. The thought of meeting my daughter—my flesh and blood—was the most terrifying thing I'd ever faced.

I took a deep, steadying breath before opening the door and stepping out. My heart was racing, and I fought to keep myself together.

"I'm here with you, man," Ace's voice echoed in my mind.

"Thanks, man," I murmured under my breath, grateful for the comfort. I closed the door behind me and started walking toward the cave, my legs feeling numb with each step.

Inside, Klinton was already there, sitting on a large rock. His eyes widened in surprise as he spotted me.

"I thought you'd never come," he said, rising from the rock.
