JC POV
I had finally figured it out—how we could get Haylie back. I'd spent half the afternoon in the hut, sitting on the ground and piecing everything together. But now, I had cracked it. I knew how to bring her back to the real world.
Just as I was about to get up and look for Klinton, he entered the hut.
"Just the man I was looking for," I said with relief, a grin spreading across my face as I saw him.
Klinton raised an eyebrow. "Really? And why are you so happy to see me?" he asked, sitting down beside me on the ground.
I turned to him, unable to hide my smile. "I've figured it out," I said, excitement bubbling in my voice. "I know how to bring Haylie back."
Klinton's eyes widened in surprise. "Then explain," he said, his tone tinged with anticipation.
