Spider-Man to the Rescue!

A sudden gunshot rang out, interrupting Slattery mid-sentence and startling both Natasha and Tony Stark.

"Get down!"

In perfect sync, the two heroes dived for cover, rolling across the floor as a barrage of bullets tore through the room.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Gunfire echoed, leaving behind a scene of utter devastation.

"Huff... Huff..."

Curled up on the ground, Stark glanced over at Slattery—eyes wide open, motionless in death. He couldn't quite process what he was feeling.

Then came the thunderous sound of footsteps, closing in from all directions—both the main entrance and side doors.

"Click!"

The distinct snap of a pin being pulled—Natasha's keen senses caught the movement of a dark figure slipping in through the side entrance.

Her eyes widened in alarm.

"Stark! Grenade!"

Without hesitation, she attempted to intercept it, knowing full well that if it landed near Stark, he was as good as dead.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A hail of bullets forced her back before she could react. She gritted her teeth, shielding her vital areas as best as she could.

There was no saving Stark now—but she wasn't going to die with him.

"F$@k!"

Stark spotted the incoming grenade, cursing as he scrambled for cover.

"Boom!"

The explosion sent thick white smoke billowing throughout the room.

"Smoke grenade…?"

Stark exhaled in relief. Not a frag grenade, at least.

Then his watch started beeping.

"Oh, hell yeah! Haha! Buddy, you're right on time!"

His face lit up with excitement as he furiously shook his arm, signaling for his Iron Man suit to come to him.

"Hmm?"

Just as Stark was about to run, a massive hand clamped around his wrist like a vice grip.

"Gah!"

"Boom!"

In one swift motion, Stark was hurled across the room, smashing into the wall—luckily, landing near an open doorway.

"Boom!"

"Agh!"

Without missing a beat, Natasha unhooked a grenade from her belt and hurled it into the doorway, where it exploded with a flash—followed by a bloodcurdling scream.

"Run!" she shouted.

Without hesitation, Stark bolted through the door, snatching a rifle from a fallen HYDRA agent as he went. He didn't care about anything else—he just ran.

Meanwhile, Natasha engaged in a fierce hand-to-hand battle with the Winter Soldier. Despite her best efforts, she barely put a dent in him before he found an opening—grabbing her by the leg and flinging her like a ragdoll.

"Agh!"

She landed hard. Winter Soldier didn't give her a second to recover—his metal fist came down like a hammer.

"Clang!"

His punch was blocked.

By a red-gloved hand.

"Whoa, dude! You've got a metal arm? That's so cool!"

A familiar voice rang out—Spider-Man.

"Hey, Miss Romanoff! Ned sent me to help Stark, but I didn't expect to see you here too!"

Even mid-fight, Peter always found time to chatter. Holding off Winter Soldier with one hand, he casually turned to Natasha.

"Look out!"

She barely had time to shout before Winter Soldier swung again.

"Whoa!"

Peter caught his other fist too.

"Alright, buddy. You've had your turn. Now it's mine!"

With a swift flip, Peter launched a kick to Winter Soldier's chest, sending him flying.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"Swish! Swish! Swish!"

Before Peter could chase after him, his Spider-Sense flared—danger incoming!

Dodging on instinct, he flipped and twisted through the air, narrowly avoiding the bullets that were meant to kill him.

"Alright, Spider-Boy, I'll handle the shooters. You focus on the tin-arm tough guy!" Natasha quipped.

"Got it!"

Peter gave a thumbs-up and leaped into action.

"Whew!"

Dodging another punch, he laughed, "Seriously, dude, what made you think getting a metal arm was a good idea?"

"Thwip!"

A web shot stuck to Winter Soldier's forehead—Peter yanked hard, slamming his head into a pillar.

"Oof, sorry about that! But hey, I didn't take this job for free—five grand is five grand."

Actually, it was ten grand, but Peter insisted on splitting it with Ned.

Ned had tears in his eyes when he accepted the cash.

"Urgh…"

Winter Soldier recovered fast. Before Peter could react, he pulled out a pistol.

Peter's eyes widened.

"Whoa, whoa! Easy there, buddy! That thing's really dangerous!"

"Tell you what—put it down, and I'll stand still while you hit me three times!"

Winter Soldier's response?

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A relentless barrage of gunfire—each shot aimed at Peter's vital points.

"Swish! Swish! Swish!"

Peter's reflexes saved him, twisting and bending in ways that no human should be able to move.

But that left him wide open.

"Boom!"

A devastating punch from Winter Soldier landed square on his jaw, sending Peter crashing to the ground.

Before he could recover, Winter Soldier pinned him down—then raised his metal fist for another crushing blow.

But this time?

Peter was ready.
