Morgane’s Schemes

The sun bathed the school courtyard, where excitement filled the air. The final rehearsal for the play was approaching, and Bella, as usual, focused on practicing her lines in a quiet corner. But Morgane, hidden behind a hedge, had other plans in mind.

First

Taking advantage of a moment when Bella had left her script on a wooden table, Morgane quickly pulled out a tube of super adhesive glue. She discreetly smeared it over the pages of the script and walked away with a satisfied smirk.

However, when Bella returned, she was called away by Caden, who had a question about a scene. As she stepped away, a gust of wind knocked the glued script to the ground. Morgane, coming back to check her plan, stepped on it by mistake. Trying to hide her mischief, she ended up with her fingers stuck to the pages.

Second Attempt: The Sabotaged Dress

Later, Morgane snuck into the dressing room where the costumes were stored. She spotted Bella's dress and snipped a thread at the hem, hoping it would tear during the performance.

But during the fittings, Bella tripped over a bag on the floor, causing her to fall before she could even try on the dress. Passing by, Caden examined the outfit and noticed the damaged stitching. "I'll fix it—it'd be a shame to leave it like this," he said simply, unknowingly foiling another of Morgane's sabotage attempts.

Third Attempt: The Slippery Floor

Undeterred, Morgane poured soapy water near the spot where Bella was meant to rehearse a key scene during a break. The plan was simple: a dramatic slip to ruin her performance.

But fate intervened in Bella's favor. Stefan, passing by with a mop, noticed the puddle and cleaned it up. Morgane, hurrying to check her trap, ended up slipping herself and landing on her back, to the amused surprise of the few students nearby.

Fourth Attempt: The Tainted Water

As a last resort, Morgane swapped Bella's water bottle with one filled with salty water, hoping it would ruin her voice just before her song. However, just as Bella was about to take a sip, Caden, ever considerate, handed her another bottle. "You should drink this one—it's colder," he said innocently. Morgane, thirsty and frustrated by her failures, grabbed the salty water and drank it in one gulp, nearly choking in the process.

By the end of the day, Morgane was exhausted, her face red with frustration. Bella, meanwhile, remained blissfully unaware. She even flashed a bright smile at Morgane, thinking she'd had a great day.

As for Caden, his actions had been entirely accidental, driven by his natural kindness.

When the bell rang, signaling the start of the rehearsal, Morgane watched as Bella calmly walked to the stage, her enthusiasm unshaken. Realizing she had failed on all fronts, Morgane clenched her fists, anger and frustration boiling inside her. "This isn't over," she muttered, following the others with a scowl.
