"Take the next group here! I will heal them."
The people next to me nod their heads and leave the tent to carry more injured people. After the battle, I immediately used the nearby village as a healing place for my soldiers. I bring five Light Mages in this fight, but even with them here, they are getting overwhelmed quickly as they don't have the same mana regeneration as me.
"Your Highness! Here is another group!"
"Put them here. I will heal them one by one."
I take a deep breath and continue to use my [Battle Zen] perk to generate my mana.
"Healing hand."
I use my [Multicasting] perk to cast two [Healing Hand] at once. I put my hand above the injured people and watch as I heal them slowly. It takes me ten minutes to heal them. I look at the others and say.
"Take the next group. Give me the people who are severely injured."
"Yes, Your Highness!"
After watching them leave, I open my stats.

For me to get better at healing, I need to increase my INT. I put all one hundred and twenty points into INT.
[INT: 55 → 175]
I can feel my mana get denser and have more weight in it. Using my [Manasight], I can see my body changing the nature of the mana, which I absorb into something more powerful. Ah, if only I had something that let me see how powerful my INT is compared to others.
"Your Highness here is another group."
See five people who have a severe injury. I wince a little when I see a literal hole in one of the soldiers. I quickly walk toward the one with the hole and dual cast healing hand. I put them above his body and watched as his body healed. The wound starts to close from the wound on his organs before regenerating the flesh. After a minute, he is good to go.
I release a sigh and look at the next patient. This one does not have the same wound, but it is still a severe wound.
"Bite this wood as I take out the arrow and knife."
I give him a piece of wood as I pull the knife and arrows stabbed into his body. I can hear his muffled scream, but I ignore it and quickly heal him. I watch as his wounds close, and after a few seconds, it is done.
I continue to do this for a few minutes, and when all of my patients are healed, I look at Jacob and say
"Bring the next one."
"That is all of them, Your Highness. The Light Mages can do the rest. You need to rest, my king."
I look at them for a few seconds and nod my head.
"Right. How many of them are dead, Jacob?"
"There are twenty dead, Your Highness. Without your quick intervention, there will be more dead."
"That is good. Take care of their body. They deserve a burial for their service to the kingdom."
"Of course. We are already preparing the rite of burial for them, Your Highness."
The rite of burial is a ceremony where a mage ensures the corpse is ready to be buried. It is the mortician of this world. They ensure the deceased is well maintained so their soul can meet the Gods with their best look. A burial rite is an honorable thing for the people of this world. When you receive a burial rite, you know when your time comes, you will have a better chance of getting into heaven.
Unlike my previous life, I know for a fact this burial rite is working. The chance increase is small, but it is there. That is the reason why people want to join as soldiers in my kingdom. I promise to give them a proper burial rite when they die in battle.
"That is good. Have you called the Guild Master? I want to talk to him immediately."
"We will search for him and bring him here."
"See to it."
While waiting for the guild master, the soldiers and the villagers prepared a meal for me. It is a modest meal by my standards but a luxury for them. I smile and happily receive the food and eat it. It is a little bit bland with only salt as seasoning, but it is good enough.
"Not bad."
I unconsciously say that and hear a cheer from the people cooking the food. I ignore them and continue with the food.
I wait for half an hour before Jacob returns with the Guild Master of the Adventurer Guild of the Capital City. Jacob bows at me and says.
"I bring the Guild Master, Your Highness."
I look at the middle-aged man in front of me and say,
"Do you know the reason why you are here, Antonio Backer?"
The man looks around nervously before saying.
"I-Is it regarding the Dungeon Break, Your Highness?"
"You don't need to be nervous, Antonio. I only need confirmation. The report you sent me says the dungeon is regularly cleaned, no?"
The man takes a deep breath and nods his head.
"Yes, Your Highness. A team of B-rank adventurers enter the dungeon and clean the dungeon up to the Boss' Room."
"Have you sent a team to check that?"
"Sadly, my guild is short-staffed and cannot check on the dungeon. However, I did send a man to check two weeks ago, and he said it was clean or at least as clean as a dungeon being cleaned a week prior."
I frown at the answer and say.
"Really? The dungeon break that just happened released more than three hundred goblins, and a Goblin General also came out of the dungeon. You know what that means, no?"
Antonio looks at me, and his face starts to get pale the more I say. When I am done, he bow down and let his forehead touch the ground.
"I am sorry, Your Highness! Because of my carelessness, I don't double-check the dungeon! I shall bear the full responsibility, but please spare my family."
Falsifying a report that can hurt the royal family is considered treason, and a heavy one at that. The punishment is death, and sometimes, that includes the suspect's family. What he gave me is a false report, and it can hurt or even kill me because I directly participated in this battle.
Lucky for him, I am not a bloodthirsty king.
"I will not go that far. However, I need to know if you are telling the truth. Do you want to take the Truth Oath Trial, Antonio Backer?"
Truth Oath Trial is a special room in the palace that ensures anyone taking the trial cannot lie. It is rarely used because of how much mana it requires to power, but I have enough mana core from the goblins and some inside the vault to do it.
"Yes, Your Highness. I am willing to take the trial."
"Good. However, you still need to be punished for not double-checking. You will lead a group of soldiers and adventurers in conquering this dungeon without getting any cut from the expedition."
Before assuming the position, Antonio is an A-rank adventurer. He should not have a problem conquering this dungeon.
"I understand. I gladly receive this punishment. Thank you for your kindness, Your Highness."
I nod and say.
"Good. You can go back and capture those adventurers who give you false reports. They will join you in the trial tomorrow."
"Yes, Your Highness."
He nods and steps back. He gives me one more bow before walking back to the city.
I look at Jacob and say.
"Jacob"
"Your Highness!"
"Take care of the people here. I will return to the palace."
"Yes. Leave it to me, Your Highness."
I nod and walk toward the carriage that is ready for me. My personal coachman is ready, and when I enter the carriage, he takes me back to the palace. I release a sigh and open the quest notification.
[Dungeon Break!] [Completed]
{A Dungeon Break is about to happen! Kill all the monsters!}
|Reward: 15000 EXP, 1000 Golds, and Rare-Grade Weapon|
[Accept reward: Y/N]
I mentally confirm it, and a second later, a bag of gold and a dagger appear before me. The blade of the dagger looks like it is made of jewels instead of metal. The handle is made of dark steel with a diamond in the middle and at the end of the handle.
I will examine it later when I return to the palace. It is time for my crafting perks to shine.
