[Rose Tearson – Journeyman Enchantress]

I rub my head when I open my eyes. That was a weird dream. Meeting a king in the middle of nowhere is a bit much, even for me. I shake my head and look around the room. I blink at the foreign room. This place is too nice for the inn where I am staying.

The bed is soft, and the room is warm instead of cold.

The inn has a heater, but it is not a good one. It cannot heat the entire room, and I need to put it next to me so I can sleep peacefully. However, this entire room is warm, and I can see a high-end magic heater embedded in the wall.

I walk toward it and examine it. It is a very interesting magic item. It looks like a plate with a jewel embedded in the middle of it. However, my eyes can see a magic pathway on the plate that comes from the jewel and spreads across the foundation of the item.

It is like seeing a spider web that connects each of the pathways, and each of the paths has small magic symbols that do different kinds of jobs that result in one single job, warming the room.

The warmth does not come from the magic item but rather comes through the wall after getting the magic from the item. Instead of releasing warm air like a low-level magic heater, it makes the wall the heater.

Holding back from taking the device out of the wall and studying it closer is hard for me. However, I know by taking the device, it cannot be put back together unless she does a ritual to re-activate the runic array in the device.

She looks around and notices the entire room is full of magic devices. She walks toward the nearby table and looks at the small lamp.

"A lamp that can adjust the brightness. Interesting."

I trace the mana in the lamp and trace the mana to a runic formation. It is fascinating. The formation lets the mana close and opens up a channel that controls how weak and strong the light the formation can generate.

"Oh? Are you interested in all the enchantments?"

"KYAA!"

I shout in surprise and throw my body back in surprise. I land on the ground and see two people looking at me with amusement. The first is the young man in my dream, and the other is a beautiful young woman with red eyes. The two of them look similar.

I look at him in shock for a few seconds before shouting.

"It is not a dream?!"

The king laughed for a few seconds before wiping out the tears in his eyes. He looks at me with a mirth in his eyes and says.

"Nope. That was not a dream."

I quickly collect myself and kneel in front of him.

"I am sorry, Your Highness! I am sorry for my insolence!"

I can hear chuckles from him and the young woman next to him.

"Please get up. Don't worry. There is nothing to apologize for. I don't mind it and prefer it when I am in casual clothing."

I slowly looked up and saw him look at me with a kind smile. I slowly get up, and he looks at the young woman next to him.

"Let me introduce you to my sister, Gabrielle."

The princess smiles and says.

"It is nice to meet another Enchantress."

"Are you also an Enchantress, Your Highness?!"

I quickly cover my mouth when my brain realizes my rudeness. I bow and say.

"I am sorry!"

"Huhuhu~ Don't worry about it. I don't mind. Also, I am still an apprentice. I hear you are a Journeyman-level Enchantress, yes?"

I nod and say.

"That is correct, Your Highness. I am currently on my journey to create a masterpiece that will let me enter the master-level realm."

"Perfect! Do you want to be my assistant? I need someone with more experience to help me in my study."

"Ah! There is no way I deserve that position, Your Highness! There are tons of people who deserve that position."

"Don't put yourself down… Rose, right?"

"Yes."

"Don't put yourself that low, Rose. A journeyman level is something you need to be proud of—even someone who is older than you cannot reach your level."

I blush a little at that praise. I rarely get praised for my knowledge. Back at the Alliance in the South, people rarely trusted me with their items unless I was working with a male master. That is one of the few reasons why I came here to the North. They don't care if you are female or male. If you have talent, you will get a good standing.

"Thank you."

"Anyway, if you agree, I will offer you what my brother offers, but make it permanent."

"Eh?"

King Lukas looks at me and says,

"I will let you temporarily use the spare workshop so you can replicate the enchantment on my dagger. If you accept my sister's offer, I will let you use that workshop permanently. However, as an assistant to my sister, you need to be strong. That means you must train alongside the soldiers and join us in dungeon diving. In exchange, besides the workshop, I will give you a monthly budget to buy anything you want for your experiment."

He looks at me right in the eyes and says.

"What do you think?"

"Yes! Thank you, Your Highness! You don't need to worry! Other than an Enchantress, I am also an adventurer! I will protect the princess with my life!"

There is no way I will throw away this golden chance. Thank you, Gods, for giving me this chance!

"Good! Now! Let's go and see your skill."

"Of course, Your Highness."

I watch her doing her job with my [Manasight], [An Imperfect World], and [Eyes of Truth] activate. I watch her weaving the mana from the air and creating a beautiful pattern that creates an effect.

I can feel my [Manacrafted] perk working to fill the blank as I watch her work. It fills me with all the information I need to replicate what she is doing. She is creating a foundation that lets her create a symbol of power that was born before the Gods even existed.

They are powerful and wild. It needs a good foundation so it can do its job.

It is like watching her create a spider web. The end result is a massive octagon as the first foundation, but inside of the octagon is a hexagram, and I can see her drawing the Primordial Symbols in each of the gaps in the Hexagram.

The end result is a strong runic formation that does one job: cut through a stationary magic. This is why I need to watch how it was created. It looks like the dagger is not only good for cutting through barriers, illusions, and wards. It can cut through stationary magic. That means it can cut through a curse if the curse stays in one place and is not moving.

When she is done, she releases a sigh, and I can see her full of sweat from all the work. She smiles and gives me the dagger. She looks proud of her work and says.

"Here you go, Your Highness. One Anti-Barrier dagger."

"Thank you for your hard work, Rose."

I look at Gabrielle and say.

"What do you think, sis? Is she perfect?"

When my sister heard me bringing an Enchantress, she immediately wanted to take her as her assistant in her work. My sister loves magic, and she has loved creating rune arrays since she was a child. Because of this, my father hired a Master Enchanter to be her teacher.

However, as a princess, she cannot go on a journey when she is done with her apprenticeship. Because of this, she needs someone at the Journeyman level to compare her work and learn from the experience.

That is why she wants someone to be her assistant and friend in her 'journey' to be an Enchantress.

"Yes!"

She looks at Rose and says.

"From now on, you are my assistant and bodyguard, Rose."

"Thank you, Your Highness! I will not disappoint you!"

I shake my head and let my sister talk with her new assistant. After watching Rose work, my hand gets itchy, and I want to create something. It is time to let my Crafting Perks and Powers get to work.

I know I've not been posting lately, and there is a reason for that. Other than busy working, real life has been beating me to the point of my being very stressed out and compromising my immune system, and I need my appendix removed.

I know that stress is not the real reason why my appendix needs to be removed, but after years of stress, it is one of the reasons why I need it to be removed.

Yes. I will get a surgery to remove my appendix tomorrow morning. Sadly, my insurance does not cover appendix removal for whatever reason, and I need to pay out of my own money—the money I don't have.

So, I come to you guys. Please help me.

I promise to post at least 5 times in a week after this surgery. Please, help me.
