chapter 5

Juno travels around Jakarta in his private car. After years of leaving his hometown, Juno wants to remember his memories of living in Jakarta. He travels around to places he used to visit.

Juno's car stopped at a playground where this afternoon there were many small children playing with their parents. Juno got out of the car, smiled at the children and then stepped onto a swing in the middle of the park.

Juno sat on the swing reminiscing about her past.

Flashback ....

10 years ago

Juno was ten years old at that time, and he walked alone to the park because his house was not far away. Every day Juno often played in the park when his parents were busy working.

When he arrived at the swing, Juno saw a little girl, about seven years old, sitting on the swing alone while playing with her Teddy Bear doll that was the size of an adult's head. For a few minutes, Juno just stared at the beautiful and adorable little girl with two pigtails. After being satisfied just looking at her, Juno approached the little girl and sat on the swing next to her.

"Hi," Juno greeted with a smile.

The little girl looked surprised when a child suddenly approached her.

He also looked at Juno with a look of shock and fear.

"You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm not a bad kid," Juno said as if he understood what the little girl's gaze meant.

The little girl just nodded her head.

"Hi, let me introduce myself, my name is Juno." Juno extended his hand to the girl. "What's your name? Can we get to know each other?"

The little girl shook Juno's hand. "My name is Rere."

"Okay Rere. From now on we're friends, okay?"

Rere smiled and nodded her head.

"Where do you live?" asked Juno, starting the conversation.

Rere played with Teddy Bear's ears. "I don't live here. I just came here with my father and mother to my aunt's house."

"So where is your house?"

"My house is far away. If you want to go there, you have to take the bus first," said Rere innocently.

Juno looked surprised. "Wow... that means it's really far, huh? Out of town, of course."

Rere just nodded her head.

Juno looked at the slide that was empty of visitors. "Re, let's go there." Juno pointed to the slide with a cheerful face.

"What are you doing?"

"Let's play!" Juno took Rere's hand and invited her to play.

Juno and Rere finally played on the slide and laughed together until the afternoon, and Rere was looked for by her father and mother.

"WORRY!!!" called his mother followed by his father approaching Juno and Rere who were still playing.

"Mother father!"

"Rere, it turns out you were looking for me here. It's getting late, let's hurry back to Bandung. If we wait too long, we'll miss the first bus."

Juno looked at Rere. 'So Rere's house is in Bandung?'

Hasan-Rere's father looked at Juno. "Is this your friend, Re?"

Juno just smiled at Hasan. "Good afternoon, Uncle. I'm Juno, my friend.

Rere's new one."

"Wow... it seems Rere already has a new friend here. Even though she's only been in Jakarta for three days." Hasan looked amazed.

"Okay, Dad," Nina--the mother interrupted. "Let's hurry home. We'll miss the first bus."

Rere then turned her body to face Juno. "Juno, I'll go home first, okay?"

Juno looked sad. They had just met and Juno already felt that he was compatible with Rere, but they had to part so soon.

"Don't be sad, okay? This is for you."

Rere gave her Teddy Bear doll.

Juno was shocked. "Is this for me?"

Rere smiled and nodded. "So you don't forget about me."

"But I'm a guy. How can a guy play with dolls?"

"Yeah, that's okay. So do you want to or not?"

Juno immediately accepted it happily. "Thank you, Rere." Then Juno reached into his pants pocket and took out a Mickey Mouse keychain. "This is for you too, so you don't forget about me."

Rere was happy to receive Juno's gift. "Thank you, Juno."

Back to the present.

Juno smiled alone

remembering everything. "Rere... how are you now? Do you still remember me? I've been hoping to meet you again for a long time.

What are you like now?"

Juno's phone vibrated, there was an incoming call from someone.

"Hello?" Juno greeted. "Yes, Dad. I've arrived in Jakarta. No, I haven't been there yet. Later. Bye."

After hanging up the phone from his father, Juno looked at the wallpaper on his phone. He smiled to himself looking at the wallpaper.

"Young? How is he now?"

Juno kicked his flat front tire angrily. He put his hands on his hips and looked around to see the situation. But no matter what he saw, it was still the bustling atmosphere of Jakarta in the morning. Then he kicked his car tire again.

"Ah, damn you! Using all the shrinkage again? Deliberately want to torture me, you?!" Juno was angry with herself. "I didn't bring a spare tire. What did I ride? My phone is also low batt, I can't order a taxi.

Juno checked his watch several times, then after thinking for a while he took his bag from the car and decided to leave the car.

Juno arrived at the bus stop where many high school students were waiting for the city bus to arrive. Juno joined them. After waiting for a few minutes, a city bus stopped. They all scrambled to get on the bus which was crowded that morning.

Juno, who was fighting for a seat with the high school kids, finally got an empty seat next to a girl in a high school uniform.

"Huh, luckily I got a seat." Juno was busy tidying up his bag and adjusting his seat to be comfortable.

Juno's head turned to the side and saw a beautiful girl sitting next to him with her chin resting on her hands and looking out the window, as if the girl didn't care that there was someone sitting next to her.

"Hi," Juno greeted sounding familiar.

The girl, who was none other than Rhea, completely ignored Juno's greeting.

"O." Juno gently patted Rhea's shoulder.

Rhea turned around lazily.

"What?"

Juno smiled as sweetly as possible.

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Juno." With full confidence, Juno immediately introduced himself by extending his hand.

Rhea stared in surprise at Juno who suddenly asked her to get to know him. 'This strange guy is really SKSD,' she thought.

"Come on, let's get to know each other. I'm Juno. What's your name?" Juno still didn't give up. He really wanted to know Rhea's name but Rhea didn't wear a name tag on her uniform.

Rhea instead looked away and returned to the beginning, observing the scenery outside. Not caring about Juno.

Juno pulled his hand back and straightened his gaze while acting normally as if nothing had happened.

The crowded atmosphere of the city bus this morning never disturbed Juno's program in the slightest who was trying to approach a girl. Juno then returned to his action to get to know Rhea.

"Oh yeah, if I may ask, which high school do you go to?" Juno asked unimportantly, even though Rhea's uniform badge also had the name of her school written on it.

Rhea doesn't care.

"Oh... Harapan High School?" Juno saw Rhea's badge and nodded to himself. "Did you know, today is my second day in Jakarta. I'm studying in America, but I'm taking a leave. Eh, my car tire got flat. I was forced to take the bus. Today is also my first day of internship at my father's office, to fill my free time. But because I'm the boss's child, so I can come anytime."

There was no response from Rhea regarding Juno's story which she considered unimportant.

"But there's also a benefit to me taking the bus, because I can meet you." Juno smiled to himself, chatting with Rhea who remained indifferent. "Maybe we were destined to meet, huh?"

A few minutes later, Juno had arrived at his destination. A tall building that was an office building.

"Wow, I've arrived at my father's office. Time flies so fast, huh. Can I have your phone number?" Despite getting an unpleasant response, Juno still didn't give up.

Rhea doesn't care.

"Okay, I'll go first, okay? I hope we can meet again another time. Don't forget, my name is Juno." Juno stood up and walked out with a smile.

Rhea didn't want to see the guy at all. 'Who is that? So annoying?'

When Juno stopped at the side of the road, he smiled and waved at Rhea who was sitting by the window. But Rhea looked away.

"It's a boy. He just likes to beg," Rhea grumbled.
