Is it over?

The silence lasted for several minutes as everyone came to terms with this hard-to-believe truth.

After a moment, Officer Li was the first to flip over his identity card, which indeed read "Liar."

One by one, everyone flipped their cards, and they were all "Liars."

"You're impressive..." Lawyer Zhang gave Qi Xia a look of acknowledgment. "But how did you figure out that we were all already dead?"

Qi Xia pointed to his draft paper and said, "It wasn't difficult. I kept wondering why the room was sealed. Why were there lines on the walls and floor? Why was there a clock in the center of the table? And why did the Goat Head person force us to take a 'break'?"

"A normal person consumes 0.007 cubic meters of air per minute, which is 0.42 cubic meters per hour. There are ten of us in this room, so the total air consumption per hour would be 4.2 cubic meters."

"According to the Goat Head's words, we've been asleep in this room for 12 hours and played this game for nearly an hour. If we multiply 4.2 by 13, we get the number '54.6'."

Qi Xia circled '54.6' on his draft paper and said, "That's the amount of air we should have consumed."

He then scanned the room and continued, "But how many cubic meters of air does this room actually have?"

Everyone followed his gaze.

"The organizer left us clues. They drew lines on the walls and floor, dividing them into many squares, each about 1 meter long," Qi Xia pointed to the marks on the walls. "The number of squares on the wall is 3x3, and on the floor and ceiling, it's 4x4. This means the room's dimensions are 4x4x3, or 48 cubic meters."

"Now, how can a room of 48 cubic meters hold 54.6 cubic meters of air?" Qi Xia frowned, his expression dim. "After all this time, the air should have become thinner, but we don't feel any lack of oxygen..."

Doctor Zhao pondered for a moment, picked up Qi Xia's draft paper, and pointed at the "49.14" on it. "What does this number mean?"

Qi Xia looked at Doctor Zhao seriously and replied, "That's also the air consumption, but calculated for 'nine people'."

"Nine people?"

Doctor Zhao was stunned, as there were clearly ten people in the room consuming air, yet Qi Xia was calculating for "nine"?

"I made a bold assumption," Qi Xia said expressionlessly. "What if the Goat Head 'isn't human'? Would the air still be enough for us? Clearly, it wouldn't be."

"Are you some kind of madman?" Doctor Zhao hesitated, clearly disturbed. "How could you make such a strange assumption?"

"Is it hard to understand?" Qi Xia pointed to the headless corpse to his right. "Doctor Zhao, you should be very familiar with skulls. Generally speaking, can a human crush a skull with one hand?"

Doctor Zhao didn't answer because he knew this was completely impossible.

Not to mention a human skull, even a rabbit's skull would be difficult to crush with one hand on the table.

Qi Xia withdrew his gaze and looked around the room. "Time's running out. I've already written down my choice. Now, it's up to you, but remember, if anyone's answer differs from mine, all of us here will face 'consequences'."

The others hesitated, filled with apprehension.

A monster that could kill at will, now they had to 'vote' to eliminate it.

Would it be satisfied?

Out of the corner of his eye, Qiao Jiajin glanced at the Goat Head, noticing it hadn't moved. The deep gaze from behind the goat mask seemed to be contemplating something.

"Damn it, whatever happens, I'm all in!" Qiao Jiajin waved his hand decisively and wrote "Human Goat."

The others hesitated briefly, then wrote down their answers as well.

Qi Xia took a glance, and without exception, everyone had written "Human Goat."

The clock struck 1:00, signaling the end of the game.

The Goat Head slowly walked forward and said, "Congratulations, you all survived the 'Liar' game. Now, I will personally 'punish' the loser."

Before anyone could react, the Goat Head pulled a gun from his chest, turned the barrel to his own chest, and pulled the trigger.

A deafening bang echoed in the small room.

In such a confined space, the sound didn't dissipate, and everyone felt their ears ringing.

Moments later, the Goat Head clutched his chest and began screaming in agony.

The loud cries quickly drowned out the echo of the gunshot, reverberating through the room, making everyone's hearts shiver.

The Goat Head continued to scream and spurt blood. It took over a minute before the sound softened, turning into painful groans.

"What... what the hell?" Qiao Jiajin stared blankly at the Goat Head. "Is he serious?"

After a few more minutes, the groaning stopped entirely.

The nine people suddenly realized they could put strength into their legs again.

Doctor Zhao was the first to stand up. He walked over to the Goat Head, checked his pulse at the neck, and found no heartbeat.

"Hey!" Doctor Zhao shouted at the Goat Head. "The game is over, how do we get out?!"

But the quiet corpse didn't answer.

The others slowly stood up as well.

The room had changed in no way, except for the additional corpse.

"Strange… did we really die?" Sweet Sweet seemed still caught up in the question. She stretched out her delicate hand and slapped herself hard.

"Ouch!" Sweet Sweet screamed. "It still hurts… Why can I feel pain if I'm dead?"

Qiao Jiajin shook his head helplessly. "What, have you died before?"

"I..." Sweet Sweet paused, then said, "I don't think I've died before..."

"So who knows what happens after we die? Looking at this situation, this could very well be hell," Qiao Jiajin said, looking at the two corpses in the room, feeling uncomfortable. "I can still feel pain, and I can even smell the stench."

"So, are we souls?" asked writer Han Yimo.

Doctor Zhao checked his own body. His heartbeat, body temperature, and pulse were all normal, and he was breathing regularly, yet he wasn't consuming oxygen.

It seemed that death was truly a mysterious thing, something that no medical knowledge could explain.

"Whatever we are, I don't want to stay in this tiny room for the rest of my life," Officer Li said. "Let's figure out how to get out."

Officer Li walked over to the Goat Head's body and casually picked up the gun that had fallen beside it.

This move startled everyone, and they instinctively moved away from him.

Officer Li skillfully opened the chamber, looked inside, and then ejected the magazine. He discovered the gun only had one bullet, and it was now empty.

That was both good and bad news.

The good news was they didn't need to worry about someone using the gun to harm anyone else. The bad news was, if they encountered another danger, they couldn't defend themselves.

Meanwhile, Qiao Jiajin, feeling bolder, reached out and slowly took off the Goat Head's mask. Underneath was a completely decayed face of a man.

His eyes were rolled back, and there were no signs of life.

"What a terrifying face..."

Lawyer Zhang agreed from the side.
