Lyra's POV
The early morning sunlight filtered through the window, casting soft patterns on the floor as I sat in quiet reflection. Kael had left to attend to pack duties, leaving me with some much-needed space to collect my thoughts. I was still grappling with the events of the previous day, my mind replaying them like a broken record.
A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. I hesitated before calling out, "Come in."
The door creaked open, and Violet stepped inside. Selena's younger sister was the complete opposite of her in demeanor—gentler, less abrasive. Her wide, curious eyes held a trace of innocence, but I knew better than to underestimate anyone in this pack.
"Lyra," Violet said softly, her voice carrying a hint of hesitation. "Selena sent me to fetch you. She said she wants to talk to you."
I forced a polite smile. "Alright. Give me a moment to get ready."
She nodded, stepping further into the room. "I can wait. No rush."
