Lisa couldn't deny it anymore.
Every time Felix was near, her heart pounded. Every time he spoke, her mind tuned in to him and only him. And when he was gone, all she could think about was when he would come back.
She wasn't just falling for Felix.
She had already fallen.
And it scared her.
Because Felix wasn't the kind of guy who loved easily. He was cold, distant, and full of walls that no one—not even his own family—could break.
So what did that mean for her?
Would he ever see her the way she saw him?
Felix had been avoiding home for days. He wasn't running, not really, but he couldn't bring himself to be there.
Lisa noticed.
She noticed everything about him.
And it drove her crazy.
She watched him from across the room whenever he was around. She memorized the way his jaw tensed when he was annoyed, the way his fingers drummed against the table when he was thinking.
He was always in her head.
And the worst part?
She didn't want him to leave her mind.
She wanted him.
It happened one evening when Felix finally came home.
Lisa stood by the door, waiting.
"Felix."
He didn't look at her. "What?"
She swallowed hard. "Are you okay?"
A scoff. "Why do you care?"
Lisa clenched her fists.
"Because I—" She stopped herself.
Felix turned to her, his cold eyes staring straight through her.
"You what?"
Lisa's breath hitched.
"I…"
Felix waited.
Lisa bit her lip, then turned away. "Nothing. Forget it."
Felix didn't say a word.
And Lisa knew she had missed her chance.
