Sitting in the garden, I tapped my fingers against the wooden table, my mind running a marathon. The scent of fresh tea drifted through the air, but I wasn't here to enjoy the damn scenery. My new personal knight, Leon, is standing close.
Mina placed a cup in front of me with her usual bright smile. "Here you go, Lady Cecilia! And for you too, Sir Theodore!" She practically bounced as she set down his cup.
"Thanks, Mina," Theodore said, lifting the cup lazily. I swear, this guy acted like a prince sometimes—not that he actually was one.
Nyx stretched beside me, his tail flicking in amusement. "You should just say it, Master."
"Yeah...yeah, I am getting into it," I said.
Theodore raised an eyebrow, watching me over the rim of his teacup. "Getting to what?"
I exhaled. "So, about Tenebris Decay..."
Theodore took a sip of his tea before setting it down with a quiet clink. "Yeah? What about it?"
