"I have a lot to take care of," Abby declared and went the opposite way of him instead of following back at them.
"Aish!" Steven sighed, ran to her, grasped her wrist, and dragged her with him as conflict sat in Lucy and Clara's faces. They even forgot to follow back Steven, froze with bewilderment.
"Excuse me?" Levi interrupted them and reminded them, "You guys should follow back them."
"Oh!" They responded confusedly and rushed, noticing Steven almost approached the elevator with Abby. Yet, their confusion-shaded eyes were on Steven's hand, which was holding Abby's as if he claimed her.
At Steven's office.
"Am I looking like a person who can fall for every woman that seduces me?" Asked Steven. His voice edged with tension and, at the same time, heartbroken.
"Exactly!" Abby nodded instantly and fearlessly. The informal way that she responded to him sowed skepticism in Lucy. Despite knowing they were married couples, Clara couldn't digest watching Abby speak informally with him. Her tension-filled breath was evident to it.
Outraged, Steven growled, switching his glare to Lucy, "You're fired!"
"Sir..." Lucy voiced apology.
"Levi!" Steven shouted.
Levi rushed and forced Lucy to leave the office as Lucy sought forgiveness. "Please, forgive me this one time, sir."
Steven then looked at Clara; his madness turned soft as soon as he noticed her reddened cheek. "Go and treat your wound first." He said. Magically, it was soft, unlike how he reacted to Abby earlier.
Clara's heart chilled slightly. "Okay, sir."
When she veered around to leave, Steven advised her, "Don't stand silent if anyone acts vulgar towards you. Repay them as soon as you get."
Dropping a smile, she bowed and left.
"Wait outside," Steven commented, Levi standing up from his seat.
At first, he was confused, but after glimpsing Abby's looking down face, he obeyed, "Yes, sir!"
Confirming everyone left, Steven approached Abby. "Don't roam around talking nonsense about me," he said. He sounded normal.
"I'm leaving if you're done," Abby rudely responded, meeting his eyes straight to straight.
He held her right hand, which slapped him and earned her a wrinkled face.
He gave a checking glaze at his hand where she imprinted the bruise and browsed at her palm, fingers dictating, "Judging my bruise, I think yours will be swollen by now."
She tried to pull her hand from his grip, embarrassment a bit, realizing her fingers hurt wherever he pocks for the confirmation.
"It is," he confirmed, and he interlocked her hands right away, getting her dilated pupils in return.
"Let me cure it," he appealed with his tenter voice that mellowed her anger. In front of his concern-dripping eyes, she couldn't mouth to say no. Instead, she stood obeying him.
His other hand slid upon her curved waist and pulled it onto him. As her heart throbbed with twitchyness, her milky eyes hooked with his. He leaned forward, dropping his forehead over hers.
Her hand aroused, perceiving her chest pressing against his. His eyes noticed it and revealed, "Don't try to be apart from me. This is the way my power works."
She dropped her hand in midway, and also her shaky eyes couldn't resist his charms. So she rolled down her sight only to find his naked chest, which was peeking out from his unbuttoned shirt.
"Look at me," he voiced breathlessly since his powers began to heal her pain slowly by slowly.
She looked up at him.
Both of their hearts refused to settle down. The rush of something under her abdomen and the beating sense from her vagina triggered her mind to think, "What will it feel like?"
To her embarrassment, Steven responded with a smirk, "Do you want to know about that badly?"
"Huh?" Abby stammered, blushing. Blinked often with timidness.
Somewhat, Steven enjoyed her proximity.
Minutes passed, and Abby didn't feel any pain in her hand. Steven released her hand, took back his other hand from her waist, and also stepped back to distance himself from her.
Her blush faded gradually, biting her lips. She glared at him, roaring, "If this is the way your power will work, I don't need to cure from you."
Steven opened his mouth to respond to her, but she veered around and walked off of him without even sparing a second to listen to his words.
Frustrated, Steven punched the table surface vehemently, muttering, "You have no way except me, fool!"
He remembered Abby's father's request, "My daughter was born sick. She can't endure pain. Even if it is little. I hope you will take care of her well. And importantly, don't let her handle a knife, blade, or anything that has sharp edges. If she began to bleed..."
Steven sighed, hitting the table surface again. But this time it enunciated his anxious-dripping disappointment.
Abby returned to her workplace unaware of Clara's jealous stare.
Luke approached Clara's seat, offering her plenty of ointment and bandages.
Clara gave a disgusted look at Luke's concern-drooling face. "Take it away while I'm being nice!" She scowled.
"Use these. Don't waste your money." Said Luke. He went back to his place quietly, leaving his kindness on her table. Clara was tensed whenever Abby came to her sight line.
Abby's confused eyes fell on her right hand fingers, thinking, "What is he? A Demon? What creature is he?"
"Dragon!" Sunny exclaimed, looking at Abby's ring.
"What? Dragon?" Abby scattered confliction.
"That is! Your ring has a dragon logo on it." Sunny dictated, pointing out Abby's ring.
Abby's knowledgeable side of the brain concluded with little hesitation, "Is he a dragon?"
"Who?" Sunny gave a blank look.
Abby spilled an embarrassing smile and shook her head, saying, "Nothing."
Abby's phone was puzzled by the notification, 'Don't forget food festival.'
At the lunch break, Steven stretched the food festival invitation towards Clara, blocking her way.
Blinking quickly in confusion, she got a hold of it before looking up at his face. "Oh! Sir." She agitated immediately and responded with a bow.
"Are you free tonight for this?" Asked Steven.
"Yes! I'm free, sir." Clara voiced merrily.
"Then see you there," Steven said with a smile and walked past her as she bloomed with enthusiasm.
Night came.
The party began. A lot of pretty women and handsome men had already started to enjoy the colorful foods.
Steven got off the car with Clara, which attracted everyone's gaze, precipitating envious. When Clara lifted her hand to hold Steven's, Steven turned to her, saying, "Woman first!"
She bit her smile shyly and moved in first as he followed her cautiously without stepping on her dress.
"There is your husband!" Annie shouted with a mouth full of sweets. Luckily, the crowd's attention was on them, so it didn't hit anyone's ear nearby them.
Abby watched them coming inside while picking up her favorite spicy meat. There was nothing like jealousy or possessiveness in her eyes except the admiration.
"They look good together," Abby declared, adoring Clara's dress and stunning beauty.
"What?" Annie expressed confusion.
