49- After all it's all my fault

On the way to the home, the streetlight's illumination over the highway slowly faded into smoke displaying a healthy and pretty middle-aged woman's face.

"It's the curse, son. We can't change our destiny." That woman's energyless voice dripped with misery as if she had given up on life.

Abby was baffled noticing his shaky look at the road. She even witnessed a drop of tears seated on the corner of his eyes, drenching the eyelashes.

They arrived at the home.

He got out of the car and came to open the door for her. Watching her eyes flashing a question at him, instead of getting off, he asked, "Aren't you coming?"

"Why did you cry earlier?"

"Then sleep here!" He said shortly and walked towards the entrance.

"Hoi!" She shouted, following him inside the house.
