Lucius chuckled, pulling a sword from behind him. "Not so fast, little lady," he teased, holding the weapon just out of her reach. "Are you sure you know how to use this?"

"Of course I do!" Amy shot back. "I've been training with Ser Jerray."

Lucius raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Father finally allowed you to train? I thought that old goat would never give in."

Amy's expression faltered at the mention of their father, her cheer fading into sadness.

Lucius noticed immediately, his own grin disappearing. "What is it?" he asked, concern lacing his tone. "Has something happened to him?"

Amy hesitated before speaking. "He got sick not long ago. He's bedridden now... He kept praying to the gods that you'd return before it was too late."

Lucius studied her face, reading the unspoken worry in her eyes. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Say no more lady. Let's go pay Father a surprise visit."
