Arnold had no idea what he was supposed to do.
He had been simply a farm overseer once, and now he was not even that.
He knew, for a fact, that there were vampires out there. Maybe a couple of centuries ago they would have been a really big problem, but now they weren't such a problem after all.
Most people just farmed them for their dust.
Others liked to get in a bush with them.
Arnold knew what that phrase meant, but before he saw her, this gorgeous long-legged creature, he had honestly believed that vampires were only good for being food and dust.
The woman before him was a beauty.
She had long, dark hair, slightly curled, and twinkling green eyes. She was tall, taller than Arnold.
Her skin was a bit dark, but Arnold decided that maybe she had spent too much time in the sun back while she had still been alive.
He smiled, offering his neck to her.
