Sixteen years ago.
While Cinzel seemed worried over the Savior's whereabouts, Baselroth leaned on his chest.
"If it were not the realms that are enemies against each other, I'm sure everything would be so different. Don't worry Cinzel."
"I'm just hoping that…" Cinzel pursed his lips.
His last conversation with the Savior caused him to worry a bit. He seemed to be certain that Armageddon was no longer far but despite this, the angels at the council are worried about who they are taking authority from, and this worried Cinzel quite a bit.
The throne was already difficult to handle on his own, if the Savior doesn't come back soon, there might be a huge power ruffle between the council.
When he looked at Baselroth's delicate face, his insides seemed to hurt. When he leaves now, it would take a month if not more before he could hold her close.
"Our child…" He paused when he smelled an unfamiliar breath.
Cinzel looked around and couldn't find anyone. He walked towards the wall of lavoc, looking intently, but then
The blue necklace around his neck starts to blink. It would only activate due to an emergency back in the heavens.
"Who dares drum the bell?" He muttered and then looked up as if his eyes could see a thousand miles above the clouds.
But he could, and he did.
Someone was indeed drumming the bell, angels were panicking. The elders were entering the meeting hall.
What could have happened? Cinzel frowned.
He turned to Baselroth, "I have to leave."
"Did something happen?" Baselroth searched his eyes but a seraph's mind is not one she could penetrate.
"Cinzel…" Her voice was soft, filled with worry.
She held his hands, staring at him with pleading eyes but then-
Cinzel caught a hidden shadow. He threw his sword in the direction, and suddenly, a figure surfaced.
"Mamodeus…" Baselroth flared up in anger. "How dare you"
"If I weren't smart enough to follow your trail, no one would ever know that you've been meeting with the enemy." He spat out of jealousy for Cinzel.
"An angel Baselroth, you've betrayed your own kind and had a child with an angel." Mamodeus tried to distract them with words, as he secretly took out a relic from his pouch.
He knew better he was no match for Cinzel, and if he wanted to leave, he needed to escape.
Mamodeus had secretly followed Baselroth into her room. His objective was just to seek something that he would be able to use against Baselroth and marry her, but he found something more interesting.
"Cinzel, you can't let him leave." Baselroth said to Cinzel.
"He will die." Cinzel had Mamodeus lift above the ground, his sword formation of twelve going round Mamodeus.
With a flick of his finger, he could end his life at a go.
"You will kill your own people to protect a traitor. Baselroth, you have really gone far." Mamodeus didn't have any plans to surrender.
He was able to throw the relic on the ground.
Dark smoke covered the air, it was poisonous, even to angels.
Cinzel and Baselroth quickly covered their noses.
At that moment when Cinzel was distracted, he found a loop on the sword formation and escaped Lavoc.
When the smoke dissipated, they noticed Mamodeus had escaped.
"Cinzel, he is going to tell.my parents. Our child…he isn't…"
Cinzel quickly held her arm and stared into her eyes, "Baselroth listen, nothing will happen. Let's go find Rademos."
"I can't leave, I have to delay them here. Cinzel, you have to go alone. Take this…"
She placed a hand on her forehead, a bright light containing a piece of her memory of Rademos location and then she placed it on Cinzel's forehead.
"Find him…" As she turned to leave, Rademos held her hand unwilling to let her go.
"Baselroth…" His eyes gathered tears and he drew her closer, placing his lips on hers.
"I will come back."
"You can't Cinzel, don't come back here." She pleaded with a tear rolling down her cheeks…
"Baselroth…"
"We don't have time, Cinzel go. I will come find you." She pushed him off and instantly disappeared.
Though Cinzel's heart seemed to have shattered, he didn't have enough time to dwell on it.
The necklace on his neck was still blinking, and even now he has to find Rademos.
Without further ado, he disappeared.
…..
Mamodeus didn't waste any time in ratting Baselroth out. And Abaddon her father felt like his life was taken away from him.
Not only has Baselroth caused him pain, but the only child that can succeed him was no other than an angel's child.
The betrayal pierced his heart. How could he make up for such a mistake? His bloodline has certainly been ruined.
Anger clawed at his veins, revealing a blood sucking fire that covered him to his feet.
One step of his feet was about one thousand meters. And with just two, he was at Baselroth's doorstep.
He slammed it open and the door shattered on the ground.
Baselroth had just gotten out of lavoc and didn't have the time to come up with any plans.
Not that she had thought of escaping her father's fury.
"Baselroth, you have betrayed me."
Baselroth fell to her knees forcefully when Abaddon's powerful force restrained her to a position.
"A child with an angel…" He growled and it felt as if Baselroth's ears were going to blow out.
She didn't utter a word, she was speechless.
"Mamodeus, that child shouldn't live."
When Abaddon muttered those words, Baselroth found her tongue.
"Father, he is innocent. You can't do this to my child."
"Quiet!" Abaddon yelled, "As demons we can only give birth to a child, and now you have not just betrayed me,but stopped my bloodline. Baselroth, do you still think that it's unfair to pay with that child's life?"
Mamodeus enjoyed the sight,he stood tall behind Abaddon and an evil smile played on his lips.
"Baselroth, you've always been warned. The demon king has tried his best to give you freedom, this is how you repay him? Even the generals would not want to marry such a woman."
Abaddon fumed even more and then yelled, "Baselroth, you will be imprisoned in the pyramid of hell."
Baselroth would not take such chances. It was her child.
She hit her fist on the ground, and summoned her soul's strength to fight against Abaddon's
power.
"Even if it is you, father, I will not let you kill my child."
Abaddon stared at her, her murderous glare aimed at him.
