Adria got up, her head do a spin the moment she does, and her mind replaying what, Author had done, last night.
A day she wished she could just forget already.
Adria felt her face becoming hot, and her hand immediately went to it, trying to cool it down, and equally trying to forget whatever happened that night.
Suddenly, the door opened and Titi walked in.
"Ah, young mistress, Adria… I had no idea you were up so early." She bowed her head, and Adria rose her hand, in the sense of telling her to raise her head.
"Why are you here?"
"Oh, um," Titi rose her head, and placed the new sheets down on the bed. "I came to drop this off, when you were still asleep, but it seems your already up."
"Ah… alright then, since you here already, I might as well use you."
"For what…? if you don't mind me asking."
"Help me fill a bath." Titi smiled, and nodded.
"Yes, sure thing." She turned and dashed into the bathroom.
It sure was hard being Adria.
She thought with a sigh. Soon, Titi stepped out.
"The bath is ready, young mistress, Adria, while you have your bath, I shall clean here up. Please leave your clothes outside."
Adria nodded, and went into the bathroom.
It was big, almost the size of her room, but a bit smaller, the tub was equally as big, hot steam coming out of it, and few red pearls in the water.
What she needed. Adria dipped both her legs into the water, the steam coming to a meet with her face, and her body now soaked in the water.
It made her feel completely relaxed, and her eyes slowly closed, mind going back to the night before, and her hand, suddenly clenching.
Why couldn't she forget? What did he mean by all those words? Why did he do that?
It all made her confused, down to the last part.
She was meant to ask him about his relationship with Dakota, but he suddenly ran out.
Adria rested her head back on the tub, her eyes now fixated on the ceiling, and the feeling of the water getting cold.
It was time she got out.
Adria got up, her body dripping water the moment she stepped out, and her hand reaching for a white robe, which she tied tight around her body.
The bathroom doors, slide open, and she stepped out, Titi was still in the room, and she had just finished with the bed.
Adria sat in front of the mirror, letting Titi handle her hair matter, while she picked out jewelries.
They were all so tacky. She thought, with yet another irritated look on.
"I must say… your hair… it feels lovely." Titi spoke, and Adria looked at her through the mirror, the feeling of tears pricking her side eye.
That was right… no one ever told her that… except one person, her son… Maxine.
Titi noticed her watery eyes, and stepped back in a panic.
"D-did I do something, not to your liking Ms.?"
"No, no, you didn't… it's just that, you remind me of someone."
Adria wiped her tears, and smiled, Titi on the other hand was relieved.
"Is that so…?" she stepped forward again, but this time, took her hair, into her hand. "if I may ask… are they special to you?" Adria looked at her once again.
"You can say that." She smiled, and then looked down.
Titi also couldn't help but smile also. "You should smile more often, mistress."
Mistress? It was now that name sunk in.
"Why do you call me that?"
Titi's smile dropped.
"Ah, well, you told us to, since you didn't like being called the Madam."
Adria sighed. "Your right, it seems I forget things quickly now." She chuckled.
"Your all done." Adria looked at herself in the mirror at Titi's words, and she was looking better than before.
"thank you… you may leave now." Titi' nodded, and bowed before taking her leave.
What a hassle, how can one be called a mistress when nearly married?
Adria got up, and headed for her dress room, sliding the doors open and walking into it, there a dress caught her eyes.
It was black, had a parting at it's legs side, and had no sleeves, a crossing at its top, and it's heels matching with it's color.
She picked them out, throwing it on under seconds, and standing in front of the large mirror.
She looked… before she could complete her thoughts, the door slid open again, this time, another maid walked in, and she didn't like she bitchy vibe.
"young master, Author sent this for you."
"And who told you to come in, without my orders?"
"I apologize, but I knocked quite a few times, and you didn't seem to respond, so I let myself in."
Adria walked to her, and gave her a tight slap to the cheek, taking the box and placing it on, one of the racks.
"You dear not repeat this mistake."
What if she started talking about her past life? This snake might have overheard.
The maid looked down, her teeth sinking into her lower lip.
"Yes… I'll be sure to know better next time." She turned and headed on her way.
Adria spun around, walking to the box and pulling the lid open.
It was a necklace, one that was utterly beautiful, a drop necklace, that dropped from the neck to the neck bone.
White sparkling, and a diamond in its center.
"You really do, out do yourself, Author."
Adria said, getting the necklace, and clipping it on.
Once that was done, she left the room.
Making her way to the main hall, Adria was greeted by all the workers, they all bent their heads down in respect, and Titi walked up to her.
"Unfortunately, young master, Author already left." Adria squeezed her face.
"And to where?" Titi' looked down.
*** ***
Adria stared out the window, the car speeding up, and the clouds suddenly getting ticker.
Was it about to rain again? We're they in a raining season? If so, then it was going to rain so many times.
The car came to a stop at a cemetery, there, she saw Author, crouching down, and dropping a bouquet of roses down, on one of the grace stones.
The car's door opened, and she stepped out, there was no one by his side, so it wasn't necessary for her to have any by hers.
Adria stood by his side, her hand locking together, and her head bowing, she had made sure to make a quick stop before coming here, with that, she crouched down, and placed a bouquet down.
"I hope she's in a happy place." They both went silent after that, and Adria glanced at Author's hand, it was clenched.
"How can you say that…? When… you were the one who killed her?"
"What?"
