What was he doing here? She thought, endless thoughts going through her head now.
He kept his head tilted to the left, trying to take in all that was happing, but then she smirked.
"Are you two friends by chance."
"Huh?" Samantha clenched onto Adria's hand, the sight of the person in front of her, being able to disturb her already., she was going to latch onto him and plug all his hairs out…. But at the feeling of Adria calming her down, she subsided the thought.
"This woman… she's the mother to my late wife." Dakota shifted his gaze back on her. "We're you two friends by chance?"
She started nodding out of her own will. What a stupid move.
"We should take our leave now… Vero." Samantha pulled her hand, and the two dashed out of there.
But then leaving didn't stop what she called Adria ringing in his mind.
Vero? Veronica? He turned, but the two were already gone.
Dakota chuckled, his eyes closing and his tongue clicking to his gum.
Old people had a knack to mistaking people name's.

Adria stood outside the hospital room's window, her nail now in her mouth as she thought back to her previous conversation with Dakota…
What if he heard that? Even if he did, would he know? Does he know about transmigration? No, that couldn't be what happened to her… right?
The door opened, and a doctor walked out.
"A word in my office?"
"What might it be?" Adria said while sitting down in front of him.
"It seems she might be forgetful at times… has she been showing any signs of that lately."
"Forgetful? What do you mean?"
"Ms. Cooper has a level 2 stage amnesia… but luckily, it's just stage two… I equally figured out something else."
Few weeks with her mother, and yet bad things are already happening!?
The door opened and there stood her mother.
"Are we done?" Her tone was more strict, and it sounded nothing like the nice one she heard before.
"Y-yes…" Adria got up, glancing back at the doctor, and immediately taking a paper in her hand. She wrote her number, giving him a look of, 'We'd discuss this later'
"Lets go."
She headed out, and once again couldn't help but think back to everything.
Dakota… Vythos… Author… the doctor's words… and her own death.
Ah, speaking of death, she was meant to get an information from Author, meeting him would do good.
She pulled out her phone, and sent him a message, it was quick, yet spelt urgency.

"So?"
Author continued to spin the spoon in his tea… giving her a cold vibe.
"You wouldn't care to answer me?"
Finally… he looked up at her, dropping his spoon, and crossing his arms.
"I didn't find out… The CCTV footage has been wiped out."
He hated he had to tell a lie, but…. It was best.
"Really?" Adria askes with a puzzled face, she slumps into the sit, and tilts her head.
Why was Dakota at the hospital.
Suddenly, she began craving for answers. "For how long has you known Dakota?"
"Huh?" She glanced at her, his arms still folded.
"When did you two become friends." A scoff escaped his lips.
"We're only acquaintances."
"Acquaintances?" She repeats in a softer tone.
But yet… in her past life, he never mentioned any, Author Atthill…
This was confusing… she got her answer, but she was confused.
Adria was about to cover her face with her hand, but then she stopped… it was the same hand he had used… She immediately cut the thoughts off.
That was yet another answer she wanted.
"About that night…" he looked up, and she was still looking at her hand, for a moment there, he thought she had been awake when he did what he did.
"And what about it?"
"I'm sorry… for knocking out on the floor… and for…" her teeth dug into her lips, was she also going to lose her mother? She hadn't lost her, yet she could already feel the pain… was it because she hadn't been there for her all those times? And the environment she lives in… it was despicable, unsightly… so many other words… if it hadn't been for Javen… she herself wouldn't have found that place.
Adria clenched her hand. "I apologize for what I did to your mother… to tell you the truth… I think I'm about to lose mine." She face softened… and her eyes became glossy with tears.
Author's face to became soft, but he didn't make it last even a second.
"What do you mean?" Adria's fist balled even more, she couldn't speak to him about it… she couldn't tell him it was her fault once again… she couldn't tell him about Veronica… she couldn't tell him about anything… was she getting to comfortable with them? Or was she just losing herself in the hole thing… why, and what was her reason for even starting all this? To avenge the body owner? To avenge herself? Or rather, in a more simpler word… revenge on Dakota…
Was that the only person she hated?
After she lost both her children… Adria figured out that, on that night… he had been with someone… not just anyone, but his mistress, Zendaya Cortez.
That was right, she equally wanted her revenge on her, she wanted to make them feel the same pain she felt that night… if it hadn't been for her, she would have had both her kids with her, up until now.
If she still had her kids, the guilt of them dying, won't be eating away at her, and she wouldn't have killed herself… in the thought of her being a wandering spirit… but no, she came here instead.
Suddenly, tears began to pour out her eyes…
"I'm sorry… I really am." She wasn't now just apologizing to him… or his mother, but to both her kids.
"Forgive me…" her hands covered her face, and the cold looks Author has on completely broke… he couldn't carry such a face after her wiping like that.
Adria's hands tightened around her face, and soon, the feeling of warmth came around her, it was Author, he had pulled her into a calm hug, and she didn't protest… all she wanted was to stay like that… to cry all she wanted to… she thought Dakota could do it for her, instead he turned his back on her, she needed him, and yet she got her comfort from someone else, someone she barely knew yet.
She hands dug into his sink, more tears pouring out as she sobbed heavily.
"I'm sorry…" She cried, and there it was… the guilt that had been eating away at her, returning once more.
She felt it was her fault… only if she stayed in… maybe she wouldn't have slept on the floor, maybe she wouldn't have lost both her boys… maybe she wouldn't have lost her own life, to come to another, she had no clue about.
All she heard, were the names… but names couldn't help her… nothing could, and she was going to make them pay… even if it costs her, yet another her life.
Author pulled away, her eyes were swollen, and she couldn't bare to look him in the eyes.
Gently, softly, and calmly, Author brushed away tears from her eyes…
"As long as you've apologized… everything is okay."
Adria began shaking her head. "No… no it's not… I hate myself Author…"
He paused at her words… how can one hate themselves? That was what ran through his mind.
He held her cheeks in his hand, their eyes now forcefully locking.
"Things may have not worked out in the past… but you don't have to say that…" Adria's tears stopped for a while… there it was… the same feeling she felt for Vythos… except this time stronger.
After a while of not talking, Author found this as a good time… he leaned in, his eyes that were once locked on hers, replaced to her lips, he knew what he was about to do was wrong, but…. He couldn't hold the urge back any longer.
They had just cut their engagement off, yet he wanted to kiss her? He wanted have her… no matter what she did… no matter what she said… Adria Cadell, was his.
