The air in the practice room was electric, a suffocating tension gripping everyone present.
Lamia stood in the center of the room, her chest rising and falling with ragged breaths, her fists clenched so tightly that her claws dug into her palms.
Fury radiated off her in waves, her crimson eyes glowing with unrestrained malice. Rose, on the other hand, leaned casually against the wall, twirling the last celestial glyph between her fingers as if it were a toy.
"Aw, Lamia," Rose cooed mockingly. "You look like you're about to explode. You sure you're okay? Maybe you need a timeout?"
Lamia's roar of rage was deafening, a guttural sound that made the walls tremble. "You think you're clever, don't you, angel filth? I'll rip that smug look off your face!"
The onlookers grew restless, their murmurs filling the room. More demons pushed their way inside, drawn by the spectacle.
