Chapter 49: A Student Locked In A Tower

LUCIFER'S CHAMBERS

Lucifer stood in the dark elegance of his chamber, the polished stone walls glowing faintly from crystal sconces.

Veronica lay sprawled on the cold marble floor, her nightgown wrinkled and damp. Her trembling form shuddered, tears streaking her pale cheeks as her desperate voice echoed through the room.

"Lucifer, I promise... It's your child I carry inside me," she sobbed, her voice cracking.

Lucifer's gaze was ice cold, a sharp contrast to the flames flickering along the walls.

His attention shifted from Veronica to the wrinkled figure of Velcrith, his cunning grandmother who stood nearby, her aged face twisted in an expression of feigned concern.

Varythos, that mischievous cousin of his, had conveniently "forgotten" to warn him about this uninvited reunion of distant relatives.
