Chapter 56: The Lord Wants You To Have Breakfast With Him

"Did you make sure her room is ready and comfortable?" Lucifer asked with his eyes closed, leaning back in a marble basin surrounded by dark, ornate carvings.

The dim light of the chamber cast faint shadows over the rippling water, giving him an even more imposing aura.

Madeline, diligently helping him wash, nodded. "I made sure of that, my lord, and I also dealt with the creation of the cave," she said, her voice steady as she scooped water with practiced precision.

"That's good," Lucifer murmured, his voice a low rumble as he slid deeper into the water, letting its warmth envelop him. "You can leave."

Madeline bowed without hesitation, her form rippling as she shifted into a sleek raven and disappeared into the shadows with a flap of her wings.

Lucifer sank further, the water rising over his face until it swallowed him whole, leaving only the stillness of the dark, ornate chamber behind.
