Shatter That Which Is Demonic [4]

Cedric swept every tent, ever guard with [God's Eye] before falling onto an individual, an individual that tried to hide from [God's Eye].

"Useless, I have found you demon!" He charged towards the enemy, dodging the humans before appearing behind a woman.

Her shock was evident as she used some skill to escape close to the camp outskirts.

And yet she could not hide from [God's Eye] and Cedric's speed.

Cedric used [God's Eye] once again, Apex skill easily bypassing her demonic powers.

Such a sinful creature, an angel that has fallen from grace, perhaps even worse than demons themselves, powerful enough to wipe out an entire army on her own, and yet she was here with some deeper plan.

"I will allow you to speak, Filthy creature" Cedric demanded, Equilibrium was ready to end her life and yet unlike the two demons he killed this one did not show any fear.

[Heresy Purge], Cedric activated his skill, completely removing her Buffs and Disguise. Revealing a slim woman, wearing a very revealing dress. Her white horns were as sharp as best of steel spears, her hair was long and black like midnight, and 2 pairs of dark wings adorned her back.

"Why is a fallen angel here? Answer me, traitor!" Cedric shouted.

The woman raised her eyebrow, clearly not understanding what he meant.

"I'm Harpy, I will not tell...." She shouted defensively.

Cedric heard enough, he cared not to listen to the traitor's babble. Cedric slashed with Equilibrium, disintegrating the woman before she could even begin attacking.

<>

"Huh, so you will revive, come then, traitor." Cedric sat next to the ashes, waiting for the woman to revive.

She revived expecting to be left alone, and yet her shock was evident when she saw the Paladin sitting in front of her "You!, I will....."

<>

Cedric cared not, a traitor like her would suffer and perhaps she would reveal her plans.

Gaya reconstructed once again, falling back almost screaming in fear as she crawled back.

<>

Gaya rose once again, her eyes on the verge of crying. "Please, I'm just following orders..."

<>

"I..."

<>

"I was sent by Lord Iguva to observe the human legion marching towards our kingdom! Please stop killing me!" She finally spoke words he wanted to hear.

<>

"You will only speak words I allow..." Cedric spoke to the fallen angel, his anger slipping through his helmet visor.

"Yes.. Sir. I was to observe leadership and infiltrate the royal family by seducing Princess Aurelia."

Useful information at long last.

"As expected of demons and traitors of God, using every underhanded tactic in their arsenal," Cedric spoke.

"We... are not dem..."

<>

"Silence, Reveal names of any powerful individuals in the fortress city we are about to attack," Cedric demanded ignoring the crying expression of the fallen angel.

Fallen Angel tried to crawl away.

<>

"Lord Rayn, Lady Lucious, and Minotaur called Tormentor" She spoke, her voice trembling.

"Mhm, excellent. Are they more powerful or less powerful than you?" Cedric demanded.

"They are much weaker sir... I was chosen due to my strength." Her head slumped.

"Can anyone in this human army handle them?"

"No..."

"Shame...I must thank you for this information."

"You will let me go?" She looked at Cedric trying to use her charm.

"No, traitors of God will die."

A swift strike and the woman was gone once again.

<>

[Heresy Purge], Cedric used his skill, destroying [Midnight] and finally granting death to the Fallen Angel.

<>

"Traitors of God and Demons working together, I should have guessed so..." Cedric spoke as he slowly walked back to the war tent.

The entire camp was on high alert, unaware that the demonic threat had been purged.

He made his way past the rushing soldiers, all of them moving out of the way, letting the hero pass.

Cedric entered the war tent, acknowledging the presence of Aurelia and Grahm.

"Sir Cedric, Have you had any luck at finding out the presence of the last demi-human?" Grahm spoke with a great amount of respect in his voice.

"Yes, It was a fallen Angel called Gaya..." Cedric stated as he took a seat at the table.

"Gaya, and you are sure you killed her sir Cedric?" Grahm asked, his surprise evident.

Cedric leaned into the chair before answering."Is that a surprise? She was an impure being and a traitor of God's will. She was even worse than normal demons!"

Aurelia and Grahm looked at each other before taking a seat themselves.

"It is just that she is a legendary demi-human that is said to be unkillable," Aurelia spoke.

Cedric scoffed. "Impure being is always killable when God is on your side."

Aurelia and Grahm looked at each other and then back at Cedric before speaking. "We will take your word, great hero."

Grahm pointed at the map that occupied most of the circular table. "As you can see, we are at the demi-human borders, their fortress city can be found 15 kilometers north of here."

"We were about to march into their territory before we were intercepted by the Demi-Human Legion, It was a much larger force than we anticipated, but fortunately Sir Cedric destroyed the entirety of the enemy legion which allowed us to continue our march," Grahm spoke with reverence.

"It is ill-advised to march at the fortress city with your force," Cedric spoke casually.

"Why sir Cedric?" Grahm questioned.

"I have interrogated Gaya before casting her back to hell. There are at least 3 individuals close to the level of Gaya, your army will be slaughtered."

Grahm scratched his chin, deep in thought.

"What would you suggest sir Cedric?" Grahm spoke expecting Cedric to speak.

"I recommend sending an elite squad to remove these dangerous entities, afterwards you could march the rest of the army. But these enemies might be too much for your men, so I will go personally and take care of them." Cedric spoke calmly.

Aurelia shouted, "I will go with Sir Cedric!"

'Why would she want to go with me, she should just stand back. Perhaps it's because of the sin of Pride.'

Cedric sighed before answering. "I do not mind, but it will be very dangerous for someone as weak as you."

Aurelia was clearly offended. "You will be surprised how capable I am!"

Grahm facepalmed as he watched Aurelia volunteer herself.

"I will allow it, I will not save you if you fall into the enemy trap," Cedric spoke while mocking the infidel.

She had no God's protection nor was she overly strong, but perhaps there was a chance of redemption.

"Let us plan the assault then, after sir Cedric and Lady Aurelia are done with their mission we will march at Sir Cedric's Signal," Grahm spoke confidently while avoiding glancing at Aurelia, already aware of Cedric's power.
