The blood construct fell, and it exploded covering a large part of the town in blood.
The town was finally in human hands.
"If only they were more virtuous..." Cedric sighed, humans were infidels and they didn't know better, but to act like demons themselves was too much.
The construct he unleashed was merely Level 50, making it much weaker than even Tormentor's own constructs, but that was the goal.
A construct that could be brought down easily by Archangels and Aurelia and yet infinitely difficult to kill by normal soldiers.
'She performed her part flawlessly. I'm impressed.' A single hit battered the human army, and despite its low level, its mass caused quite the damage, making Aurelia and her squad appear like heroes once they ended the threat.
Cedric despite not fully trusting the young woman still had trust that she would properly punish the barbarians in her army.
He did not wish to end their lives himself just yet, but since the army was under her direct command it meant that she had full authority to do so.
And now with a proper display of power, nobody would dare stand against the princess and her trio of Archangels.
The army that was about to scatter and run away from the already conquered city stayed still for a moment, their expression of amazement clear.

Excellent news, his mission, granted by God himself had been finished. Despite the human army being disappointing he had fulfilled his part.
Now his mission was to end the demonic reign of the dark lord Iguva, he couldn't have asked for greater honor than to end demonic corruption with his own hands.
And yet he didn't know much about him.
From the information the former champions gave him he only learned general information, perhaps he would need to question them more.
Unfortunately, as much as he wanted to rush and finish God's mission as soon as possible, it was ill-advised, his mission was not only exterminating the demonic corruption but turning the infidel humans to one true faith.
What if Cedric killed all demons? Infidel humans will still bear the corruption, and without a common enemy, they would never be united under one true faith.
Alas, It did not matter to him, these humans disappointed him too much already bar some exceptions.
He would offer to teach them, and those who refused would perish without God's guidance.
'Aurelia was able to handle using [Divine Storm] at 5% output, impressive at her level despite her fainting afterward...' Cedric looked as the young girl collapsed, archangels rushing to help her.
Cedric wouldn't have trusted soldiers around her to keep their hands off her, but fortunately, she was well-guarded and was in his vision.
Despite his wish to preserve human life in the wake of demonic influence, he would not tolerate a barbaric act upon one who wished to know more about Christ.
Her life was more important than this legion of infidels, against demons, he could at least understand it despite it deserving a harsh punishment but against a fellow human and one who showed potential at that, the death penalty was a mercy that he was willing to grant.
God would judge them all, and some of them would meet him sooner than others if his trust in Aurelia was well placed.
'They enslaved too many of these filthy demons...' Cedric sighed again, he should kill these slaves, cleanse their demonic corruption.
At least 2 thousand slaves were captured, while the number of dead was at least double that number, Cedric did not like it.
While it was true that demons were completely cleared from Vitpacar, leaving a shell where humans could make their home, it did not change the fact that the demons still lived and Cedric was letting that slide.
A demon's life needed to be extinguished, but infidels would never understand that, instead choosing to use them for their own gain.
They were almost the same as demons themselves in a way.
'Despite me not liking it, God had declared mission completed, so perhaps these demons living is a part of His plan.' Cedric rationalized the events in his mind, if God had said they needed to live for now then it was not his place to question.
His attention was grabbed by the humans moving.
Grahm, a small group of soldiers, and an Archangel trio picked up unconscious Aurelia and carried her to a building that looked like an inn.
The building was made of wood and it had a lot of missing parts, it certainly had seen better days, the front sign was on the ground half buried in the dirt, the walls had holes in them, and half of the roof was missing.
But as long as it had a bed and safe space for Aurelia to rest it would suffice.
'Not that she will have a need for it', Cedric leaped in the air once again, landing right in front of the inn with a loud thud.
As the mission was done it was the perfect time to let Aurelia learn.
The guards panicked as he landed in front of them but the moment they recognized who it was they relaxed and let him through.
"Ah sir Cedric, lady Aurelia, and lord Grahm are in the room on the top floor, the only place where there is still a roof over their heads!" Soldiers saluted with respect.
Cedric recognized this soldier, he was a part of the group that he gave bibles to, and it seemed he carried it with him.
"Soldier tell me your name," Cedric asked, despite being able to check the name with God's eye it would be considered rude to not ask someone willing to learn of Christ.
"Its Marius sir Cedric! It's an honor!" The soldier was stiff and afraid.
"Relax, I will go see Aurelia." Cedric gently patted the soldier's shoulder as he made his way to the room.
With a gentle push, doors opened, letting him enter a quite plain room, a single bed next to a window and a nightstand.
Archangels stood in attention as they diligently guarded their VIP.
Grahm was sitting on a chair next to Aurelia.
While the man seemed respectable, he was the one who failed to discipline his army so respect for him was in short supply in Cedric's mind.
"Ah sir Cedric, welcome back. I assume you are here to help the princess?" Grham asked, clearly avoiding questioning Cedric about where he was when humans were fighting to avoid antagonizing the hero.
"Yes." Cedric made his way past Grahm, he did not need to interact with the man.
[God's Holy Light], light enveloped Aurelia once more, fully restoring her. Despite that, she would need to sleep, as he wished to avoid waking her needlessly.
"Since you are here I should go and return to my soldiers," Grahm saluted before leaving the room, he seemed ashamed of letting barbarism happen.
"You did well Archangels, I expect you to continue good work," Cedric spoke coldly to the trio to which they bowed and accepted it.
"Notify me through our link once she awakens," Cedric ordered the angels before making his way out, the girl had proven herself worthy and willing to accept God, it was his duty to show her proper respect.
