CHAPTER 21

Greyson blinked slowly at Jonathan without saying anything, showing that he was damn surprised by Jonathan's words.

He cleared his throat twice.

"I have no idea about that Jonathan. I think you should be focusing on how to enter the first stage of your magical path, instead on focusing on something on an entirely different scale."

Jonathan's heart sank when he heard the grandmaster realm was an entirely different scale. It felt like it was unreachable in Greyson eyes, and that was making Jonathan wonder how far was the grandmaster realm compared to the fourth stage of the magical path.

He would've loved to ask the question but it was something he ought to know, asking Greyson would feel entirely off, and he was afraid to seem entirely off.

Jonathan raised his cheeks a little.

"It's not a bad thing to dream, Commander. But just like you said, I should be focusing on how to enter the first stage of my magical path, but I have always been wondering what the magical path looks like. I have heard it from peeps and from school, but I couldn't get a vivid image in my head with their explanation."

Before Greyson could say anything, Jonathan saluted in a loud manner.

"Sir, I am just curious, and how many stages are there before I reach the grandmaster realm. It's not too much of a big dream!"

Greyson initially wanted Jonathan to leave for his room because he thought Jonathan was trying to sound funny with him, but seeing the seriousness and frisky in Jonathan's eyes, he could tell that Jonathan had a high respect for him and wanted to hear everything from his mouth.

Greyson decided to lighten up a little.

"Well, it's not a bad thing to dream that high, but you will have to work your ass around the nine stages of the magical path before you will be able to break through into the grandmaster realm. Not many people have been able to work their ass that badly, but people have achieved it and people have achieved the stage beyond that so you can also do it, like I said, hard work is the key.

Talent can never beat hard work. It just doesn't happen."

Jonathan's eyebrows moved when he heard that there were nine stages of the magical path, and there was even a stage beyond the grandmaster realm. He couldn't imagine what that stage would be like.

He couldn't imagine what the magical path would be like let alone the grandmaster realm.

Greyson walked past Jonathan and stepped to the book shelf which was behind Jonathan.

"The magic path is like a stairway. A long stairway that leads to heaven, or perhaps an unknown destination.

To progress you have to climb the stairway, by aiming to reach the top which you will never get to see, but as you go, you will find out that your body is absorbing energy, the more you advanced on the stairway, the more your body would be absorbing energy which in turn would make you stronger on the real ground.

You will reach a point where you will be able to develop a skill, that particular stair would ask if you want to create a skill or not, if you proceed in creating a skill, you will find your body forcefully attracting energy from the space to create a skill. But mind you, the higher you go on the stairway the better you will becoming at drawing out energy from the space, so at the first point of skill creation, you will be able to draw a little drop of energy, which in turn create an E ranked skill."

Jonathan was blown away by those crazy topics Greyson was lecturing him on. He totally had no idea it would be this bulky, thank goodness he asked.

Seeing Jonathan was surprisingly paying close attention to him, without even planning to discuss what he knows, Greyson happily continued. He felt Jonathan was too humble.

Greyson raised one of his fingers up.

"You might not create an E ranked skill if you are putting on a magical boosting item. That boosts your progression rate, and allows you to be able to draw out more energy from the space when creating a skill, but regardless of that, everyone is doomed to develop an E ranked skill at the first point of skill creation.

So my advice for you is to not try to develop any skill at the first point of skill creation. You can try at the second or the third point, I have seen some people get lucky on those points, but meanwhile, you don't get to see skill creation points often as you climb the stage. Sometimes you might cross two or three in a single stage so you have to be mindful whether you should develop a skill or not."

Greyson tapped Jonathan on the right shoulder.

"Everything depends on you. Everyone with their style but don't draw anything at the first point of skill creation. You will get a totally garbage skill."

Jonathan gave Greyson a big nod. Asking Greyson about this was the best choice he had made since he came back to life, all thanks to it he had gained a vast knowledge on the magical path.

"The rest you will learn from your teachers in the headquarters."

Greyson said as he walked past Jonathan.

"Thank you, Sir!"

Jonathan saluted more before turning to leave.

As Jonathan reached the door, Greyson voiced out.

"Be careful on the battlefield, son. I want to see you at my funeral."

Jonathan saluted Grayson once more before leaving Grayson office. He knew his way out of the building because he memorized every corner as he was following Greyson. Jonathan came out of the building and headed to his building. He could feel the B ranked crystal in his pocket. He was eager to absorb the skill right away, but he thought about it as he was coming out of the building.

He decided he would be giving the skill out to another martial arts ability user, somebody at the fifth stage of the magical path.

Jonathan thought of giving it out because he wanted to see how the second unique skill God gave him looked like, and how 100X progression on a skill would be.

With that, Jonathan felt giving the skill out would be better than him keeping the skill. His progression rate was 10X, whereas giving the skill out would immediately give him 100X progression on the skill, and he will still be able to progress the skill from there.

Johnathan didn't know if that would be the case, but he believes so.

As Jonathan entered his room, the alarm bell in his room sounded and a loud microphone sound was heard.

"All units should come to the meeting hall immediately. Base Commander Charles Wesley would like to break some announcements from the headquarters against the recent attacks we just received. To keep things straight. We are going to war.

Dreamway will fight back!"
