[ Chapter VI (6): "HOGWARTS AT LAST!" ]

If Felix had known beforehand, or if he had thought about it very carefully, then he wouldn't have set up the portal to the Detective Comics Universe very far away from his school— Hogwarts.

No, but he didn't think about it carefully. And now he is walking in a forest, sweating, dressed in a suit; with four Direwolves, all slightly distinct, floating behind him; against their will.

 [ "Finally...!" ]

Covered in grass, dirt, and even pee due to some mischievous Monkey variants he hasn't seen before peed on him... He doesn't want to delve into the details, but let's just say they got lectured by a few hexes here and there.

He smiles to himself as he sees the spacious sea of grassland in front of him. Dinosaurs running from here to there, but not dangerous, some herbivores, and even some hunting animals here and there could be seen.

But none of that caught his attention, he had seen those numerous times at the point of exhaustion— eaten some even. No, instead what caught his attention is the castle built in the middle of the land— Hogwarts, standing tall and proud.

 [ "Damn it, finally...!" ]

Felix had traveled for half an hour using Apparation here and there in some cases, but due to him capturing four Direwolves; and wanting to give three of them into his colleagues, he was forced to walk onfoot.

If he had used Apparation then it would take a heavy tol on his body; first because he can't do side along Apparation— the act of teleporting someone alongside you.

He can't do it without the assurance of the Direwolves being stuck on a tree, on the ground, or even on each other for crying it out loud. The second reason is because of magic, to be more precise, the lack thereof magic.

He isn't a pool of magic, he gets exhausted, magic in him deplates the more-and-more he uses magic. So he needs to rest to replenish it. And finally the third reason is that, the weight of them all combined.

He doesn't know his weight, he forgot. But adding four Direwolves that are fatter than him would be a heavy load. Thus the magic consumed when casting Apparation would be more, as compared to when he's alone.

There's another factor, and that'll be because he didn't learn Apparation the way it should be. And instead acquired the knowledge of Apparation through the System, and that it is only on Level. 1.

Which more or less has certain restrictions unless it'll be upgraded. But due to lack of funds, he couldn't upgrade the said skill— he is broke for short, on his last pennies that'll be needed to be used elsewhere rather than himself.

 [ "Come on, chop-chop!" ]

Floating the Direwolves behind him, he continued walking. His body that's aching, he forces to walk on the grassfield below, with him finally nearing the destination that he has been yearning for an hour— his fault for creating the gateway so far away.

Ignoring the hostile animals on the way, which only took a couple of hand waving, gestures, and spells to take down. Felix didn't even bother getting their meat, for him to eat, for the others to preserve.

No, instead he walked even faster, before ultimately; he spotted someone— someone he recognizes.

A plump dumpy lady, in her early 20s wearing a colorful witch robe; dark gloves on both hands, a focused attitude on what she's doing— and that'll be tending to her garden.

Felix knows who this lady is, the youngest of them all, even to him who's only 23 years old; I thank you very much. And is also the newest colleague of his— and she being the Professor for Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures— and unbeknownst to her, soon-to-be Head of Hufflepuff House which will then be announced when the school year officially starts.

 That's a mouthful.

 [ "Professor Sprout!" ]

Pomona Sprout, that is her name. And in hearing someone called out to her, she became puzzled, dazed even at the point that she turned her head from side-to-side wanting to know who was calling out to her. But to her confusion, she couldn't see anybody.

Until finally... A disheveled looking man came into her view, on the field to her side; with the said man smiling at seeing her; to Pomona this felt like seeing a crazy dark wizard, so she who felt scared shrieked out loud; [ "Woah, woah, woah!" ]

Felix who didn't know about what Pomona is seeing, thought that she's just really happy in seeing him— which is weird, because unlike the other two Professors, she is the newest, and also the one that Felix isn't closest too.

 [ "-rk... wi...rd...!" ]

 [ "A what now?" ]

Felix who's far away from her tried carefully in listening to what she said, but couldn't do to the distance. So in an attempt to hear more carefully, he walked closer... Which furthered the misunderstanding to a degree that Sprout who's known for her timidness, and kind nature, pulled out a wand; a 15inch long wand.

 [ "St... ck...!" ]

 [ "A what...?! Stack...!?" ]

Still not hearing her carefully, he placed one side of his ear in her direction... [ "TRI... cus ...Hlus...!" ] Okay, there we go, I think I can hear her more carefully no- huh...?!

Felix's smile turned into a frown when he felt his arms and legs straightening, before he dropped to the grass below that has a row of ants trailing in it, nearby his face. Only then did he realize what had happened.

Did I get hit by my favorite spell?!?

Stiff on the ground, like the four Direwolves beside him, Felix began to ponder that to himself; to him who cast this spell in numerous scenarios, began to really think that this may really just be retribution to all the mischievousness that he had done since learning about magic...

And to some extent, he may be correct.

Hearing footsteps coming closer for him, he felt relieved. And also in hearing the cheery british voice of her's, even though this one tried to come off as threatening.

[ "To whoever you are, don't even think of doing anything bad..." ]

 [ "F-felix?!!" ]

Before ultimately realizing who it is— her boss apparently who she thought was a dark wizard, in which she just hit with a spell without hesitation.

She felt guilty and apologized, her stuttering coming back out in which she tried to suppress a few seconds ago.

 [ "O-Oh, n-no, no. I-I'm so-so-sorry." ]

 Don't worry, I forgive you.

He hears the woman stuttering, the tough persona that she put up disappearing, as she returns to the shy, timid Pomona that he has gotten to know... In the span of days before he went to the Detective Comics World to endorse his school.

Thankfully unlike his body, he could still move his eyeballs around. And looking up, Pomona was greeted by the familiar purple-eyes of his; made not through contact lenses, or bleaching his eyes, no, instead this one just suddenly changed from black to purple when he got transported into this world.

And now those same said eyes are looking up at her— at Pomona Sprout, a chubby cute redhead with curly hair that's looking down at him with guilt.

His eyes rolling from side-to-side wanting convey his thoughts...

Can you now please let me go?
