Path 1 – The World Moves On

The first breath of fresh air felt strange after the stifling presence of the Forgotten Gate. As Mallory and her friends emerged from the underground ruins, the weight of what they had done settled over them.

They had sealed the gate, trapping whatever lay beyond. But the king's words echoed in Mallory's mind:

"No seal lasts forever."

She glanced at the sky—gray clouds churned above them, unnatural in their stillness. The land itself seemed uncertain, as if reality hadn't yet decided whether to calm or break.

Greg groaned, rubbing his arms. "I hate this. The apocalypse was bad enough—now we've added 'haunted sky' to the list of things trying to kill us."

Quinn adjusted his twin daggers. "At least we're alive. Let's call that a win and get moving before something else tries to eat us."

Mallory agreed. They needed to leave the ruins behind—but the problem was, where to next?
