The music was deafening, the lights were bright and colourful.
Mathieu and his people were having a wild time in Renaud's room, and it looked like they weren't going to stop until they had trashed the place.
Lucky shouted desperately at Mathieu, 'Get out, get out, you're not welcome here!'
Matthew didn't care. He just waved his hand and said, 'Hey, you're not the owner here, so you don't have the right to decide anything. Besides, it's rude to chase away your invited friends. Be polite. But I forgive you, I won't hold it against you.'
He waved his hand, and the big trainee carried Lucky out like a chicken and threw him straight into the sink.
As Lucky just raised his head, someone else pushed him back into the water, laughing loudly, 'Don't mind it, it's just a joke.'
Yes, a joke!
Everything is carried out in the name of a joke.
They eat, drink, fight, smash, and rob here in the name of a party and a joke.
However, if you don't look closely, you won't see anything wrong.
As they say, it's just a party.
Everything that happened here was common at parties.
A smile curled the corner of Renault's mouth: 'Interesting...'
One of the second-year trainees responsible for keeping an eye on him froze for a moment: 'What did you say?'
He had expected Renault to be angry, to go crazy, but instead he only answered with this, which left him completely unprepared. He had no idea what to do, and for a moment, he felt powerless.
Reno had already walked towards the swimming pool.
The trainees thought he was going to save the man and were ready to stop him.
But Reno just said calmly, 'If you carry on like this, he'll be drowned by you. Are you sure you want to do that?'
Everyone froze at the same time.
They looked at each other and let go of their hands.
Rachit emerged from the swimming pool, coughing loudly, 'Reno... Reno, I'm sorry.'
'I know, and that's why I didn't stop them. You've had your lesson, now get up.'
'You... you're not going to get rid of them?' Lucky was surprised.
Reno pulled him up: 'You mean with just the two of us, get rid of them? Lucky, don't be naive, okay? They didn't plan on leaving when they arrived. Don't go trying to do the impossible.'
Lucky was dumbfounded.
The trainees had already burst out laughing together.
'You're a smart guy, Renault, but you've done something stupid. You shouldn't have provoked Mathieu,' someone said, patting Renault on the shoulder in a show of sympathy.
They didn't have any personal grudges against Renault, but since they had chosen to follow Mathieu, they had to do what he told them.
That also meant that they didn't deliberately make things difficult for Renault in private.
'Thanks for the warning,' Renault replied politely. 'Since we're already here, why not have some fun?'
'Of course we'll be happy, but I don't think you will,' one of the trainees replied, then pointed his chin at Matthew inside the house. "And his happiness will be built on your unhappiness.'
Everyone had already entered Renault's house. Renault was still being stared at, but no one cared about him. In terms of numbers, Renault's side was too small, and he couldn't do anything about it. He could only watch them wreak havoc in his home.
'I'm sorry, Renault," Lucky said remorsefully.
'You've already confessed,' said Renoir. "What else can we do when we've made a mistake, I ask you?'
Lucky was at a loss for words.
Renoir saw his dumbfounded expression and snapped, "Make amends!'
Lucky suddenly understood, "But I already did, but I can't get rid of them.'
'If you can't get rid of them, why not try a different approach?" said Renoir.
'A different approach?' Lucky was puzzled.
Reno said leisurely, 'If you can't get rid of the unpopular guests, then invite some popular ones. Lucky, do me a favour, will you? Invite Poll, Sifeld, Hanks, Aden, Zonghan, and Kaofuren... all our familiar friends.'
Lucky was stunned for a moment, then his eyes lit up, 'You're right, since they're here for a party, let's throw a real one. I'll contact them right away!'
He opened his communicator and started contacting his familiar friends.
Soon, one after the other, the students from the ship command department rushed to the king's apartment.
Paron Sfield was the first to arrive. He got off the flying car with great style and came to Renault's side: 'I heard there's free beer here?'
'And cakes and beautiful women,' Renault pointed behind him. Behind the nano-glass wall was a group of young men and women singing and dancing, laughing and drinking, singing loudly.
The beer was of course not Renault's; Matthew paid for it and was determined to have a good time in Renault's room.
When Sfield saw this, a happy smile spread across his face, and he left Renault to go inside. He didn't know who Matthew was, and didn't care. He came to Renault's just to get free beer.
The group of people looked on as Sfield picked up their drinks and drank them, and for a moment they all felt a little dumb.
Someone asked, 'Hey, man, who are you?'
Palone Sfield looked proudly at the cadet and replied, 'Like you, a guest of Renault.'
He finished the drink in one gulp and opened another bottle.
'I said, don't go too far,' said someone who couldn't stand it anymore and spoke threateningly.
'What, do you want to fight?' Sfield replied completely unconcerned. Although he was already surrounded by people, he just ignored them and his bare head was already bulging with veins.
People from the Devil's Triangle are not afraid of fighting.
The trainees were about to lose their temper when someone else entered. It was Freely Burr, with freckles, and the good-looking Hanks, with long legs.
'Wow, there are so many pretty girls here,' Freely Burr said, whistling.
'Don't make such a fuss, Paul,' said the experienced Hanks, doing a very cool hair-flip and shaking his blonde locks, which caused countless girls to scream.
Matthew and his friends then realised that, after the beer, they were about to lose their dance partners as well.
After the two of them, the foodie Kauffman also arrived. This little fat man had once entered a competition to see who could eat the most food and won third place by devouring 26 Big Macs in half an hour. He had an appetite that could devour a country. When he arrived, he was immediately attracted to the food on the table, which obviously could not have come from the refrigerator in the Renault's house. Kofferen didn't care about any of this and went straight over to tuck in, shouting, 'Hey, Renault, thanks for the hospitality.'
Matthew was completely furious.
But just as he was about to call on someone to start smashing up Renault's home recklessly, several more trainees came in. Among them were some new beautiful women who had just been admitted.
When Claire's figure appeared in the courtyard, everyone completely lost the desire to act.
She was wearing a long, aqua-blue dress, with her long, golden hair tied back and a string of gemstone necklaces around her white neck, which made her look luxurious and generous.
'Claire, why are you here?' When Renault saw Claire, he was also taken aback.
He hadn't called her.
'I heard that you were having a big party here, and I didn't think that was really your style, so I decided to come and have a look,' Claire replied.
Renault was surprised. 'So what do you think my style should be? Studying and not seeing anyone?'
'That's not the point,' Claire shot back, giving him a sharp look before pointing at the room. 'The point is over there.'
He was referring to Matthew.
While others might not remember Matthew, she certainly knew who he was, as the queen who had cast an important vote for Reno at the welcome party and had danced with the king.
'Just some unwelcome guests.' Renaud told Lachie about the deception. "Since they insist on using my floor, I don't mind inviting some friends over to share their food.'
Claire's face broke into a charming smile.
She covered her mouth and said, "Not a bad idea. I don't think they can make a fuss now.'
'At least they can still stomp on the floor,' Renaud replied with a sigh, looking at a trainee who was jumping wildly on his sofa.
Claire suddenly said, 'Do you want to get rid of them?'
'Well... do you have a way?' Reno asked curiously.
'Of course,' Claire replied. "Just light a fire and burn the house down.'
Reno shook his head and laughed: "I'm not going to go to such extremes as to turn my home into a wasteland just to get rid of the intruders. No, no, I won't do that.'
'If someone pays, you will,' Claire said. "There is a rule in the Earth's bars. It is that anyone can fight in the bar, as long as they pay for any damage they cause. It is worth noting that the price is determined by the bar owner, which gives the bar owner the possibility of profiting from it. They therefore encourage fighting, and this rule is known as the pirate bar rule.'
Reno narrowed his eyes: "What you mean is...'
'Don't worry about the consequences of a fire. Every dormitory in the academy has an automatic fire suppression system. They will extinguish the flames in time, and no one will die. Only some furniture and appliances will be damaged due to flooding and fire. At parties, it is understandable to break things, and no one will bear the cost for you. But if a fire breaks out, it will become a group event, and as a common action, everyone will have to bear the cost,' Claire said crisply.
Reno immediately understood.
As Claire had said, he was the one who set the price, and he decided on the compensation price. As long as it wasn't too outrageous, Matthew and the others would have nothing to say. As for Paul and the others, it was even simpler, just privately refund Paul and the others their share of the money.
Reno's eyes lit up, 'Claire, you are truly the smartest girl I have ever met.'
'I just grew up here and know the Academy's system pretty well. My grandfather always said that all wisdom is the use of rules, and if you don't understand the rules, there's no wisdom.'
'That's wonderful,' said Reynold, clapping his hands.
'So, how are you going to start a fire?' Claire asked. 'Just a friendly reminder, there are surveillance cameras everywhere in the Academy. They restrict Matthew from doing anything reckless, and they restrict you as well.'
'As you say, it's just a fire. Did you know there's a hobby called cigar smoking?' Reynaud winked.
'You smoke cigars?'
'I smoke Matthew,' Reynaud replied.
