An awkward silence surrounded Melissa and Radulf after he accepted his fault in pushing her to take an extreme step to end her life. On the market streets, they walked like strangers.

'Why is he silent now?' she thought, tilting her head to look at him frequently.

"I heard you like to read," Radulf said suddenly, breaking the ice between them.

"Yes, I do," Melissa replied, wondering why he said that.

"Then," Radulf held her hand, "we must visit this old library here," and walked faster through the route. She couldn't believe his sudden excitement and they only halted before the old library. The structure before them was not in good condition.

"Shouldn't they renovate this building?" Melissa murmured.

"Maybe they aren't generating enough revenue. Since many new libraries emerged in the past, people must have stopped visiting this place," Radulf stated.
