Chapter 62

 Ivonne's POV

"Shit," I muttered under my breath at my mistake, shutting my eyes as I scolded myself for the slip up.

'You just had to say it didn't you?' Ria interrogated in my head, sounding helpless at my stupid utterance.

'It was a mistake damn it,' I hissed back in my head, while I physically angled my head away from Tobias's stare.

"Ivonne?" Tobias called my name in a hard tone. "Don't you dare lie because we both know I can scent him on you."

'See?' I said to Ria. 'He already knew.'

"You know I can hear your thoughts," he reminded and I muttered profanities under my breath. "I'll get to who you are talking to in there later."

I bobbed my head in response, not daring to speak and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have because I had no idea what to say in response.

"Now answer the question, Ivonne," he said in one breath, his jaw tightening as a spark ignited in his gaze. "Lincoln fuckingly did what?"
