Ivonne's POV
We spent hours with my mother, sharing conversations and enjoying snacks. I was amazed how comfortable Tobias and Mom were with each other.
Most of the time I was simply staring at them as they discussed and shared inside jokes I was totally ignorant of. It was an enlightening time and I could feel us bonding into a family the more time went on.
The drive home was filled with silence and surprisingly awkward. It seemed like there was a big question in the air that I needed to answer, nonetheless I played dumb.
I was certain of a possibility he may have heard a bit of my conversation with mother, however he wasn't sure if he heard correctly and maybe that was the reason for the tension as he expected me to say something.
The silence stretched out for too long that I almost felt guilt tripped into blurting out the truth. I opened my mouth to speak, and his ears perked up.
