Ivonne's POV
"What?" I implored in surprise and a hint of fear and he nodded. "That explained why you had been on edge these recent days."
"Yes darling," he affirmed and placed a reassuring smile on his lips. "But you don't have to bother, it's all under control."
"There's no way I can't bother with it," I contested running my fingers through my hair which I had let hang loose on my shoulders and back, provoking the work I had done with the brush become a mess.
"See? This is why I didn't want to tell you," he sighed at my frown and panic in my irises. "Because you'd act this way."
"I already sensed something was off," I revealed. "I didn't know exactly but I observed something was wrong with the way security was increased. I figured it was normal measures being put in place ahead of the reopening but not this."
"Well, it is what it is," he uttered in a shrug. "But I suggest that shouldn't worry you."
