Chap 9: Seven sins

In the endless darkness, the shape of the Seraphim gradually became clear. It was not a human body or a familiar figure. Instead, at the center of the distorted reality, a giant closed eye appeared, covered in giant wings of light. The wings were not like ordinary feathers; they were mystical, moving as if the waves of space itself, reflecting light and darkness at the same time.

The wings continuously expanded and contracted, creating vortexes of air that spread throughout the space, making time seem to stand still. The eye, even though it was closed, radiated an invisible pressure, as if it could see through every thought, every essence without needing to open it. Each movement of the wings carried the sound of ancient words, whispers from the beginning of the universe.

The Seraphim said nothing more, just stood there in its inviolable presence. The wings touched each other lightly, and immediately, the space around Kai shook, as if all of reality was just a tiny fragment being controlled by Seraphim.

Kai stared at the majestic figure before him, his breath caught for a moment. But he did not back down. "So this is you, Seraphim. Not a legend, not a shadow, but the reality."

His words seemed to stir a reaction. One of the wings gently flapped forward, and for a moment, a brilliant light reached Kai, as if challenging him to face his own existence.

One of the Seraphim's wings fluttered, and the sound that came out was not just a voice, but a cosmic chord, echoing in Kai's mind. "How could you come here without our permission?" The voice did not contain anger, but carried absolute authority, like an undeniable accusation.

Kai did not answer immediately. Instead, his eyes changed. Something inside him had awakened. His eyes were no longer just human, but seemed to carry fire from the depths of the darkness. And then, another voice rang out from him, low, confident, but also terrifyingly arrogant.

"Us?" Kai's inner personality – Lucifer – emphasized each word, as if mocking the question. "Do you think I need permission, Seraphim? If this is your territory, why would you let me set foot here?" Perhaps the very reality you protect is not as perfect as you think."

The light from Seraphim seemed to grow stronger as the words rang out, as if in response to the disrespect. "You, Lucifer," Seraphim replied, his voice cold as ice but deep as the abyss of time. "You have always been one who crossed the line, but do not forget, you have fallen. Your wings no longer reach the heavens. What you carry is only the remnants of the lost light."

Lucifer laughed, a laugh full of irony and pride. "Fallen? Yes, I fell. But Seraphim, have you ever wondered why I was not erased? Because my essence cannot be destroyed, not by you, not by anyone."

He raised his head, the eyes in Kai's body glowing red as fire. "I do not need your permission. I did not come here for a favor, but by my own will. And now speak, Seraphim. What do you want to do with someone who shouldn't be here?"

A moment of silence filled the air. The Seraphim's wings fluttered, but the eye in the center remained closed, as if pondering or peering deep into the soul of Lucifer within Kai.

Lucifer, in Kai's body, smirked arrogantly. He raised his hand, and in the distorted space around him, a long sword appeared, shimmering like light distorted by time and space itself. The sword seemed to be more than just an object, but a living entity, emitting powerful waves of energy that seemed to tear apart reality.

"Thanks to it," Lucifer said, his voice ringing out in both affirmation and provocation. "It was this sword, the 'Space-Time Soul Blade,' that led me here. Do you recognize it, Seraphim? It was mine when I was still in the light."

Seraphim, standing motionless in the endless light, did not react immediately. But after a brief moment, his deep voice rang out, like a bell ringing from eternity. "Oh… So that's how it is. You've used the power of the Time-Space Soul Blade. A creation that belonged to you when you were a god… before you fell into the abyss."

The Seraphim's wings fluttered slightly, emitting rays of light that sparkled like shattered stars. His voice no longer carried only defiance, but also a hint of admiration, as if recalling the distant past. "That sword, Lucifer, is more than just a weapon. It is the key between the layers of space and time. Something that should not exist in the hands of one who has lost his position. So you have found it again. But remember…"

The Seraphim's giant eye remained closed, but the surrounding air became heavier, as if reality was being crushed by an invisible pressure. "The Time-Space Soul Blade serves no one for long. Its power is the power of balance. If you bring it here without understanding its true value, it will be your destroyer, Lucifer."

Lucifer stared at Seraphim, his eyes burning with fire, but there was no hesitation. "I understand better than anyone, Seraphim. The Time-Space Soul Blade is a part of me, even though you tried to separate it from me when I fell. If it is the key, then I am the door. I did not bring it here to seek permission. I brought it here to prove that you cannot imprison me forever."

Seraphim remained silent, her wings motionless like an eternal wall, but the space around her continued to shake violently, as if waiting for the outcome of this confrontation. "Then prove it, Lucifer. If you truly understand the power you hold… show it to me."

Lucifer didn't hesitate any longer. The arrogant smile faded from his face, replaced by eyes blazing with fury and indomitable will. In an instant, he seized full control of Kai's body. "If words won't suffice, then let this blade speak for me."

The Dimensional Soul Blade in his hand emitted a blinding glow, as if time and space themselves were torn apart with every swing. The air around him howled, streaks of distorted light cutting through the void as Lucifer surged forward, his speed incomprehensible, shattering all barriers between distance and time.

"Take this, Seraphim!" he roared, his voice merging with the sound of the reality-rending blade. He struck down with all his might, aiming directly at Seraphim's core—the colossal, closed eye surrounded by the divine wings.

Yet, the moment the blade made contact, an invisible barrier materialized, radiating a brilliance like millions of stars exploding at once. A deafening shockwave rippled through the space, shaking the very fabric of reality. The blade, capable of severing the threads of existence itself, was stopped in its tracks, unable to pierce through. Lucifer staggered back a step, his eyes flickering with a mix of disbelief and simmering rage.

"Did you think a mere blade could cut through me so easily?" Seraphim's voice resonated, deep and filled with unyielding authority. The divine wings shifted slightly, and the protective barrier intensified, emitting a radiant light that forced Lucifer further back.

"That's… the 'Holy Origin Aura,'" Lucifer muttered, recognizing the force protecting Seraphim. It wasn't just any barrier; it was a manifestation of primordial power, a source of strength that transcended all natural laws.

Seraphim didn't counterattack but spoke again, his voice heavy with suffocating pressure. "Lucifer, your arrogance blinds you. The Dimensional Soul Blade may shatter boundaries, but it cannot breach the will of a being beyond your comprehension. You were once the Lightbringer, but that light has long been extinguished. Remember your place."

Lucifer narrowed his eyes, gripping the blade tighter. "I haven't forgotten anything. It's precisely because I remember that I stand here today. Don't think that a single failure can stop me, Seraphim. You will see—your precious 'will' will crumble before me."

He prepared to charge once more, but this time, Seraphim's presence grew even more overwhelming, suffocating the very air around them. "If it's a fight you seek, Lucifer, then I will show you why you will never surpass me."

Lucifer's fiery gaze burned brighter as his grip on the Dimensional Soul Blade tightened. A sinister grin crept across his face, and a dark, otherworldly energy began to envelop the blade. The surrounding space twisted and warped, unable to withstand the immense pressure.

"Fine, Seraphim," Lucifer growled, his voice dripping with defiance and fury. "Let's see if your divine will can endure this!"

With a roar, Lucifer unleashed "Blazzblue", a forbidden enhancement born from the depths of his fallen essence, merging chaos and destruction into the blade. The once radiant sword now radiated a chilling, void-like energy that consumed everything in its path. Light, sound, and even time itself seemed to bend and collapse around it.

The blade now pulsed with the power of annihilation—a force that stripped away all existence, leaving nothing but pure emptiness. "This strike will reduce all to nothingness," Lucifer declared, his voice echoing with unshakable conviction. "No defenses, no resistance, no exceptions. Not even you, Seraphim."

Lucifer lunged forward once more, the blade carving through reality itself as he swung it down with all his might. This time, the energy of Blazzblue surged forth, forming an arc of pure destruction. The shockwave from the strike reverberated through the void, shattering space and time in its wake.

The arc struck Seraphim's protective barrier. For a moment, the two forces clashed, the overwhelming destructive energy of Blazzblue colliding with the Holy Origin Aura. The collision created a storm of energy so intense that the very concept of reality seemed to fracture, unable to contain the opposing forces.

And then… it happened.

The barrier—unchallenged for eons—began to falter. Cracks spread across its surface like fragile glass, and within an instant, it shattered into nothingness. The destructive energy surged forward, heading straight for Seraphim's core.

Lucifer's voice rang out, triumphant and filled with malice. "Not even the heavens can protect you from me, Seraphim!"

However, just before the energy could strike its target, the colossal eye of Seraphim, which had remained closed throughout, began to open. A blinding, otherworldly light burst forth, consuming everything in its path. The energy of Blazzblue was halted mid-air, suspended as if time itself had frozen.

Seraphim's voice echoed, calm yet absolute. "You misunderstand, Lucifer. Your power, no matter how destructive, cannot undo the foundation of existence itself. I am not a mere being protected by barriers. I am the essence of balance, of creation and destruction."

With a single pulse of light from the now-open eye, the Blazzblue-enhanced strike was dissolved into nothingness, consumed entirely by Seraphim's power. The void energy evaporated, leaving Lucifer standing in stunned silence, the weight of Seraphim's words and actions pressing heavily upon him.

"You sought to reduce all to nothingness," Seraphim continued, his voice resonating with timeless authority. "But nothingness cannot touch that which is eternal. You have power, Lucifer, but you do not yet understand its limits."

Lucifer gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with rage and determination. Even though his previous attack had been neutralized, he did not falter. He raised the Time-Space Soul Blade, and this time, a new energy, darker and deeper, began to envelop the blade.

"If Blazzblue is not enough, then I will use something beyond nothingness!" Lucifer roared, his voice filled with malice and madness.

From within the darkness, he summoned a forbidden power, a symbol of sin and destruction: Leviathan – the Sin of Envy. This was the power of infinite jealousy, a sin that had been ingrained in Lucifer's nature since he fell from the light.

Leviathan merged with the blade, transforming it into a weapon that surpassed all understanding. The blade was no longer just a physical entity, but a manifestation of absolute power. It emitted a dark, gloomy light, but so powerful that all laws, principles, and even basic concepts of reality were broken in its presence.

"This thing will cut through all principles, all laws, and all essences of existence," Lucifer said, his voice as sharp as the blade in his hand.

He charged forward once more, but this time, his speed exceeded all limits. Space could no longer keep up with his movements, and each step Lucifer took caused a rift in reality.

"Leviathan!" Lucifer shouted, slashing with all his might and fury.

That strike not only tore through space, but also time, concepts, and everything around it. The energy wave from the blade spread out, engulfing everything, leaving behind an endless void where even light could not exist.

The Seraphim remained where he was, his giant eye staring straight at Lucifer, unwavering. But as the slash approached, the air around him changed. Time stopped, space shrank, and the light from his wings became brighter than ever.

Lucifer's strike, the blade imbued with the power of Leviathan, slammed straight into the Seraphim without any resistance. The Seraphim's protection was gone, but…

"Lucifer, you still don't understand…" The Seraphim's voice rang out, this time gentle but filled with authority. "Nothing can touch what does not belong to the realm of existence."

When the blade touched the Seraphim, it was not him who was pierced, but the blade and the energy of Leviathan were completely erased. As if that power had never existed, Lucifer's slash vanished into nothingness upon contact with Seraphim.

Lucifer was stunned, his eyes widening as he watched the blade in his hand slowly fade away, as if drained of its power. "Impossible… Leviathan cannot fail…"

Seraphim just stood there, the light from his eyes and wings growing brighter. "The power of sin, no matter how great, is only a part of the balance I hold. You cannot use sin to fight against the very nature of the universe, Lucifer."

Lucifer stepped back, his grip on the hilt of his sword almost fading. But the fire in his eyes did not die out. "If even Leviathan cannot do anything to you, then I will personally tear apart the balance you so proudly hold!"

Suddenly, Kai felt a powerful stream of consciousness rise within his mind. Before him, a figure appeared—Lucifer. He was no longer a voice or a vague feeling, but a clear entity in Kai's consciousness, his crimson eyes filled with haunting power and darkness.

"You common mortal," Lucifer spoke, his deep voice resounding like thunder. "If you want to use my full power, if you want to reach 100% of your true power, you must give me everything."

Kai felt Lucifer's presence choking his will, but he still tried to stand firm in his mind. "Everything...? What do you mean?" he asked, his voice trembling but still filled with effort.

Lucifer stepped forward, his gaze piercing Kai's soul. "Your body, your being, your soul, your mind. Give it all to me, holding nothing back. You will become a puppet, a shell, and I will be the sole controller of this power. If you agree, I swear upon the existence of the universe that, if I destroy the Seraphim, I will return this body to you, intact."

Kai felt the pressure of those words. It was not a mere offer, but an agreement, a contract carved into the very laws of the universe. He knew that if he agreed, he would lose everything—maybe even never regain himself. But at the same time, he also knew that the Seraphim were an enemy that could not be defeated by human power.

"So what if I refuse?" Kai asked, trying to keep his spirits up.

Lucifer smirked, a smile full of contempt and arrogance. "If you refuse, you will fall. Seraphim will erase you from existence, and I will disappear. But if you accept, even if it is just a glimmer of hope, I can carry you through the impossible. The choice is yours, Kai."

Kai fell silent, feeling torn inside. Part of him wanted to protect himself, to keep his soul and will. But another part realized that this might be his only chance to defeat Seraphim and survive.

Lucifer looked at him, his eyes blazing. "There is no time to hesitate. Decide. Give me everything, or prepare to be destroyed."

Kai clenched his fists, cold sweat dripping down his forehead. Before him, Lucifer's figure stood tall, radiating a terrifying pressure that froze the space in his mind. The only choice. There was no other way.

"I... agree," Kai said, his voice low, but determination gradually showing in his eyes.

Lucifer smiled, a smile full of satisfaction and malice. "Very good. I knew you would make this choice. A wise decision, even if the price is everything."

As soon as Kai finished speaking, the space around him began to change. A dark energy erupted from Lucifer's figure, spreading everywhere and engulfing Kai's consciousness. His body felt like it was disintegrating, every piece of his soul, every thought, every bit of will being separated and merged into the deep darkness.

Lucifer reached out, placing his hand on Kai's forehead, as if carving an indelible mark. "This body, this mind, this soul... all belong to me now. But remember, Kai, this is the deal. When Seraphim falls, I will return everything. If not... you will disappear forever."

In the last moment before his consciousness was completely submerged, Kai heard Lucifer's haunting laughter echoing.

As Lucifer completely took over the body, a dark light enveloped Kai's body. The eyes that originally belonged to him now glowed blood red, his body emitted a demonic aura, causing the surrounding space to become terrifyingly cold.

Lucifer tightly grasped the Time-Space Soul Blade, now completely assimilated by Leviathan and his power. "Seraphim..." He said, his voice deep and powerful, echoing throughout the space of reality. "This time, nothing can stop me anymore."

He stepped forward, each step seeming to shake the space. The Seraphim's giant eye stared straight at Lucifer, unwavering, but the light from it seemed to glow brighter, as if preparing to face the greatest challenge it had ever known.

"You have given everything for a bet," the Seraphim's voice rang out, calm but authoritative. "Lucifer, you are the embodiment of sin and ambition, but can that power overcome the very essence of balance?"

Lucifer merely sneered, lifting his sword, letting dark light and destructive energy spread throughout the space. "I will not answer with words. I will answer with destruction."

As Lucifer completely took over Kai's body, a terrifying transformation began to occur. From behind him, two giant black wings spread out, each one seemingly made of pure darkness, dense and sharp. The wings flapped lightly, but each movement created strong winds, tearing apart the surrounding space.

A dark aura continuously radiated from Lucifer, spreading out into the space like a storm. That aura carried a sense of oppression and destruction, causing everything within its range to seem crushed under the weight of absolute power. The surrounding space, time, and light gradually became distorted, as if they were being bent by a force that was beyond the law.

"This body... this power..." Lucifer glanced at his hands, his low voice resounding, full of satisfaction and arrogance. "Not a bad vessel, enough for me to fully reveal my true nature."

His crimson eyes flashed with a cold gaze, filled with arrogance. He extended his hand forward, summoning the Time-Space Soul Blade, the blade now glowing with boundless destructive energy. The dark aura from Lucifer's body merged with the blade, causing it to emit streaks of red-black light like flowing blood, pulsing like a living being.

Seraphim still stood there, his giant eye not leaving Lucifer. But the space around Seraphim now seemed to be invaded by Lucifer's aura as well. The rays of light from the eye began to weaken, dimmed by the dark power.

Lucifer flapped his wings once, creating a shockwave so strong that the entire space shook. "Seraphim..." He said, his voice filled with authority and defiance. "Now, with full power, I will destroy you and prove that nothing can stop me, not even the balance you maintain."

The aura that radiated from his body continued to spread, growing stronger with each passing second, consuming all. Seraphim, though immensely powerful, now sensed something he had never encountered before: a power that was ready to break all boundaries, defying the laws of the universe.

Lucifer, with his crimson eyes filled with absolute pride and authority, stood there like an entity beyond comprehension. He raised the Soul Blade of Time, and from the depths of his soul, the seven original sins began to rise, each sin a piece of his true nature.

He began to enchant the sword, each sin was summoned and engraved into the blade, gradually transforming it into a symbol of absolute power.

1. Lucifer – The Sin of Pride (Superbia - Pride):

The sword burst into a brilliant golden light, a symbol of boundless pride, of unchallenged power. "Pride is not a sin, but my truth. All kneel before me!"

2. Mammon – The Sin of Greed (Avaritia - Greed):

A green light enveloped the blade, symbolizing boundless ambition. "Everything in this universe belongs to me. Nothing is beyond my reach!"

3. Asmodeus - Lust (Luxuria - Lust):

The blade begins to emit a dim red light, seductive and dangerous. "Lust is not weakness, but a driving force that surpasses all limits!"

4. Behemoth - Wrath (Ira - Wrath):

A fiery red light burns on the sword, spreading an endless destructive power. "My wrath will burn everything, destroy all barriers!"

5. Beelzebub - Gluttony (Gula - Gluttony):

The sword begins to vibrate, emitting roars like the cries of boundless hungry entities. "My hunger is eternal, I will devour this entire universe!"

6. Leviathan – Sin of Envy (Invidia - Envy):

A dark blue energy enveloped the sword, sharp and cold. "My jealousy never stops, and it will surpass all those who dare oppose me!"

7. Belphegor – Sin of Sloth (Acedia - Sloth):

The sword now emitted a deathly silence, as if all movement, all time had stopped. "Sloth? No, I am just waiting for the perfect moment to act and end everything."

---

With all seven sins engraved into the sword, it was no longer an ordinary weapon. The Time-Space Soul Blade had now become the embodiment of the "Concept of All Concepts", surpassing all definitions, all laws, and all natures.

Lucifer stood there, the dark light from his body merging with the power of the sword, transforming him into an entity that could not be described or understood.

"Seraphim!" He roared, his voice echoing throughout the space. "I am no longer Lucifer, no longer a fallen one. I am the embodiment of all! The concept of concepts, surpassing everything that has ever existed, and even you, who call yourself balanced, will kneel before this power!"

Lucifer swung his sword, and immediately, the surrounding reality warped. Space, time, the concepts of light and darkness, all disintegrated before the overwhelming power that the sword brought.

Seraphim, still standing there, looked at Lucifer with an unfathomable gaze. "Surpassing all concepts, you say?" His voice rang out, low and majestic. "But do you truly understand the meaning of the concept of superiority, Lucifer?"

The battle between two entities beyond the understanding of the universe, one the embodiment of evil and ambition, the other the symbol of balance and order, officially begins.

Seraphim, in his majestic light, was undeterred by Lucifer's rebellion. As the sword containing the power of the seven sins was swung by Lucifer, a terrifying energy rushed towards him, tearing through space, threatening all concepts and realities.

"You are truly a bold one, Lucifer," Seraphim spoke, his voice echoing as if coming from the very source of the universe. "But you still do not understand. Transcending concepts does not mean destroying everything. It is the harmony between existence and nothingness. Let me show you the difference between a rebel and a holder of true nature."

As the energy from Lucifer's sword reached him, one of Seraphim's giant wings opened. The wing was unlike anything in the physical world—it was the embodiment of absolute balance, an entity beyond comprehension. From the Seraphim's wings, a pure light emitted, not dazzling but exuding overwhelming power.

When Lucifer's attack touched the wing, a strange phenomenon occurred. The light from the Seraphim's wings was not pierced, but instead, it absorbed and dispersed all the destructive energy, as if the concept of destruction was completely nullified. The distorted space around immediately stabilized, as if it had never been affected.

"This wing," Seraphim said, his voice filled with authority, "is not for defense, but for balance. Any attack of yours, no matter how powerful it is beyond all concepts, will return to its original state. Therefore, Lucifer, you will not be able to destroy me with this power."

Lucifer frowned, his eyes glowing red, the anger in him burning stronger. "Do you think a wing can stop me, Seraphim? You are only prolonging your death!"

He tightened his grip on the sword, the aura from his body becoming more intense. The power of the seven original sins merged into the blade, and this time, he swung a slash with increased power, aiming not only at the wing but also at Seraphim's very being.

Seraphim, still calm, his eyes lit up with a sharp light. "Then, let's see how much my wing can block."
