A Clue...?

Jin heard faint voices inside the room, as he walked closer the murmurs got louder...Jin noticed that the voices were screaming for help...Jin felt uneasy as he was right outside the room, after a few moments he pushed the door open so he could get a better look...

Upon getting a clearer view of the inside of the room Jin's uneasiness became utter shock and disgust, he was met with a horrifying sight, and the stench of rotten flesh pierced his nostrils. The walls of the room were made of disfigured humans, their organs covered the room yet somehow they were still alive...their screeches made Jin disorientated as he noticed one of the walls had a gaping hole leading to another room.

Jin stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut.

"What was that!"

Jin contemplated whether he should go back and investigate the room, and a few moments later he walked away from the room due to it being creepy as hell though he planned to later investigate it

He continued to look for the man in the lab coat while also exploring the abandoned hospital, and whilst checking one of the rooms Jin finally found him.

But before observing him more closely the man turned his head towards Jin as their eyes met.

Jin was startled by this since he thought that he was completely invisible, as the man glared at Jin he said something unusual.

"You..."

"You shouldn't be here yet!"

The man said before snapping his fingers causing Jin to wake up.

'I'm sure of it now...that wasn't just a dream.'

"Oh? You're awake."

His master said whilst reading a book, he glanced at Jin noticing something was wrong.

"You look a bit perplexed, are you okay?"

He asked while his eyes were still on the book he was reading.

"I'm fine."

Jin then opened his status as he got all the pending rewards he never received from the system.

{Rewards: (14x)Common Keys, (8x)Silver Keys, (5x)Gold Keys, (Guaranteed) Common Key, (2/3) Fragment Of a Platinum Key, Attribute: Blessed By Mana.}

[Took you long enough.]

"I forgot."

Jin said as he stood up.

"Master how long was I asleep for?"

"Not more than an hour, anyways we'll start our training now."

Dune answered as he stood up and walked towards an empty area, hinting at Jin to follow him.

After a few minutes of walking Dune suddenly stopped as he looked back at Jin, and then suddenly he disappeared leaving only a trail of wind.

'Is this what I think it is?'

Jin thought to himself as he grinned profusely, Jin focused as he maximized his senses one by one. He turned his head analyzing his surroundings desperately trying to catch a glimpse of his master.

"Where are you!"

He shouted whilst keeping his eyes wide open, and with no other choice he increased his sensitivity on all his senses.

"Tsk!"

'I only have at most thirty seconds before I overload my brain with information again...I have to end this fast.'

After maximizing his sensitivity Jin noticed the grass slightly moving at a direction, and as he adapted to his current vision he finally saw a glimpse of his master.

"Found you!"

He shouted as he dashed towards his master, and as Jin was about to catch up to him, he suddenly sped up.

'Pretty good...I didn't expect Jin to make me pick up my pace this quickly.'

And again Dune disappeared from Jin's sight, leaving Jin guessing as to where he was now, and frustrated he thought of a dangerous yet potentially powerful skill.

Jin squatted down as he rested his hands on the ground, he infused the area with his mana whilst also giving them an attribute that makes them explode if came into contact.

'Mana Landmines'

Due to Dune's tremendous speed before he noticed the landmines he stepped on one of them and triggered it, causing him to be enveloped in smoke.\

'I have to control my senses to be bearable now...'

"Oho! Impressive."

He said whilst walking through the smoke.

"You're messing up the landscape again."

Dune said as he dashed towards Jin, throwing his fist at him as Jin barely blocked it.

"From now on I'm fighting back..."

He took a deep breath before continuing his flurry of attacks.

"Get ready!"

Jin was getting pushed back as it seemed like he didn't even have a chance to counterattack.

'He's not giving me any leeway at all! I need to find an opening.'

He continued to dodge Dune's strikes while barely doing so, and as Dune gradually increased his power Jin struggled to keep up with Dune's strikes.

'I have no other choice but to use my skills!'

Jin activated his skill "Metal Manipulation" as his arms were enveloped by an unknown metal, causing Dune to be startled giving Jin an opening for him to finally fight back.

"My turn!"

He shouted as he leaped towards Dune whilst creating a sword from the unknown metal

"That's an impressive skill you got there!"

Dune said as he punched back, as Jin's sword collided with his fists, but the unexpected sound of metal clashing together rang throughout the area.

'How sturdy is he!'

Jin's face showed obvious shock as he jumped back preparing for an assault, he used more of the metal to create two daggers as he freely used them.

'I can control these daggers more freely than creating tens of spikes like last time...the downside is that I have to give up on numbers...'

As Jin was thinking Dune flew towards him and threw a punch, taking Jin off-guard as he flew several meters away from the impact.

"Ack!"

He said as he picked himself up, his body only showed bruises as Jin turned his entire body into metal a split second after getting hit.

'I got lucky.'

Jin held his right shoulder as he dropped the sword in his hands.

"Oh? Are you giving u-"

Dune was almost hit by Jin's hidden dagger, but Dune somehow reacted in time and blocked it as he only got a scratch from the attack.

"..."

Dune was silent for a moment as he held the dagger in his palms.

"If I hadn't reacted in time I would've gotten a serious injury or worst...HA! I like this, keep going I'll heal you later."

Dune laughed hysterically, as he let go of Jin's dagger, Jin immediately took back his dagger whilst being on guard towards Dune.

"Tsk!"

'Here it is...master's other personality when he gets excited on a fight, he's subconsciously restraining his power to have more fun...insane.'

"System, I'd like to use 4 of my silver keys to upgrade "strength" and "speed"."

[Certainly, I noticed you were in quite a predicament hm?]

{Strength>Attribute: Super Strength, Speed>Attribute: Super Speed}

Dune was slowly getting closer to Jin as he was upgrading his skills.

"I wanna use all my common keys to unlock every feature I can!"

{Feature Unlocked: Status Enhanced, Extra Stat Points.}

"Stat points? If that's what I think it is how many do I have now?"

Jin was getting more and more nervous as his master got closer, his sweat trickled as he waited for the system's answer.

[You have accumulated 87 extra stat points]

"I'll put 30 to speed and strength and use the remaining 27 on endurance!"

Jin felt a sudden surge in his power as his nervousness eased up.

"Come on!!"

He shouted as he threw his two daggers towards Dune replicating a sword technique making it harder to defend against.

And yet Dune still defended against all his attacks with no injury whatsoever.

"Is that all? You're gonna make this boring!"

He said before disappearing into thin air.

'Where is he!'

As Jin was about to get hit by Dune's sneak attack, Jin's "Sixth Sense" activated as he instinctively dodged the attack.

"Hm?"

This left Dune with another opening as Jin seized this moment to make a barrage of powerful attacks at him.

"Tsk! How did you get so much more powerful?! But I hope you didn't forget that my fists aren't my main weapon!"

Dune shouted as he teleported away from Jin, He raised his hands as an enormous blue sphere of mana manifested in the sky.

'Is he planning to destroy this entire area?!'

Jin gritted his teeth as he ran as far away from the area as possible.

He didn't look back as he continued to run in one direction hoping not to get caught up in it, until he saw the sphere coming down, Jin's face turned pale as he didn't get far enough to not be caught up in its impact as his surroundings turned bright blue

Dune released the sphere as it fell towards the ground creating a huge shockwave that turned the once beautiful field to a barren wasteland.

"Oh...I got carried away and used that."

Dune came back to his senses as he looked around for Jin, hoping that he survived his rampage.

"I really messed up! C'mon Jin where are you..."

And meanwhile Jin was covered in dust as stood up with little to no injury, and Jin himself was shocked that he survived.

"I got really luck huh..."

[Maybe cause you're the mc...]

The system whispered.

"Hm? What was that?"

Jin asked as he raised his brow.

[Nothing.]

'Anyways I have to go look for master, he should've snapped out of it by now,'

Both of them roamed around looking for each other as they shouted each other's name.

"Huh? What's that?"

Emilia asked herself as she saw the sphere of mana Dune created.

"I feel master's power in it...is he fighting Mr. Jin?"

Emilia then flew towards the sphere of mana as she gradually accelerated hurrying to the scene.

And upon arriving there she saw a huge crater as if a meteor fell there, she was in utter disbelief as she investigated the scene.

"Hm...At least they're both alive, there are no bodies here."

She then closed her eyes as she tried to sense her master's or Jin's mana.

'Found them!'

She first went to Dune as she hurried towards him, and upon arriving there she saw her master with a single scratch and part of his clothes burnt.

"Master! Are you okay?? Where's Mr. Jin? Did something happen?"

Emilia asked him a flood of questions.

"One question at a time please...and yes I'm ok, I'm looking for Jin and we were just sparring."

Dune said with a worried look on his face.

"I'll help you look for him!"

Meanwhile Jin was wandering around in the complete opposite of where Dune and Emilia were, He continued to walk hoping to find them.

He sighed heavily.

"Where is he!!"

He shouted in frustration.
