Chapter 5: A piece from the past
Pristin's eyes widened as he stared at the girl they had just rescued. Her long, curly brown hair was matted with dirt, and her bright green eyes sparkled with tears. But despite the grime and exhaustion, Pristin knew those eyes anywhere. It was a face he thought he'd never see again, a face that haunted his dreams.
Aria searched the room with her green eyes. The curtains were closed, and the candles beside her provided dim light. She turned to her left and saw a girl with pink hair and a beautiful but cold look.
"Are you okay?" someone asked.
Aria turned to the girl with blonde hair and golden-brown eyes. She had a cute aura. As Aria tried to stand, someone held her from behind. She was mature and beautiful, with black hair packed up.
Aria's eyes widened slightly as she felt the gentle but firm grip on her shoulders. She turned to see Zero Two, her expression softening for a moment before returning to its usual stoic mask. "Easy, don't strain yourself," Zero Two said, her voice low and smooth. Aria's gaze drifted back to the blonde girl, who was smiling warmly at her. "I'm Evelyn," the girl said, her eyes sparkling with kindness. "And you are...?"
"There's no time for asking names now," Antosia, generally known as Zero Two, said with a firm expression. "You are between life and death. If you survive until tomorrow, then we can ask for each other's names."
Marble held Antosia's hand and gently tapped her back to quiet her.
Zero Two glanced at Marble, her face giving nothing away. She didn't say anything, though, and looked back at Aria. Anna, the blonde girl, looked worried, but she nodded. "We need to get her treated," Mako said gently. "Pristin, can you..." She stopped talking.
Just then, Pristin and the rest of the boys arrived. They'd finished their fight and Pristin wanted to check if anyone was hurt or if there were any more humans around. The boys split up to search, and Antosia came back to Aria.
Pristin walked in and immediately froze when he saw Aria Mikel and Andrew just stood there looking at the female on the bed sleeping.
Aria felt the gaze of the guy with black hair. His dark eyes didn't seem to fear her, but for some reason she felt like she had seen that face before, but she didn't know where.
Antosia placed her hands on top of Aria's head, then she looked up at the six people looking at her.
"What's the problem, Mikel?" he asked, his calm voice not trembling with worry, but in a casual way.
"She lost her memory," Pristin sighed as he stepped closer to Antosia. They looked at each other for some seconds, then Pristin shifted his gaze to the girl on the bed sleeping, then he left the room and the remaining group left the room, including Antosia, closing the door behind them.
As the door closed, Aria's gaze lingered on the spot where Pristin had stood. She felt a pang of familiarity, but it slipped through her fingers like sand. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back onto the bed. Antosia's words echoed in her mind: "She lost her memory." Aria's eyes widened as she realized the truth: she had no idea who she was, where she came from, or how she got there. The only thing she knew was that Pristin's face seemed to stir something deep within her...
The next morning, Andrew looked a little different. He was going to check on Aria, so he wanted to look his best. He brought her some clothes and things.
When he got to Aria's room, he knocked gently.
Aria had just woken up. She felt a little uneasy. "Come in," she said softly.
Andrew smiled and opened the door.
Aria was surprised by how handsome he looked. His yellow eyes were shining.
He walked over to her. "These are your clothes," Andrew said, smiling. "The bathroom is just over there."
Aria looked around. She hadn't noticed it yesterday, but the room was huge! The bed was big, the walls were yellow, and the AC was huge. The room could fit a whole apartment in it!
She turned back to Andrew. "Thanks," she whispered.
"Okay," Andrew said. "I'll wait for you downstairs. We'll be going to the same university, at least until you get your memory back. Oh, and the group decided to name you Aria."
"Aria?" she repeated, looking at him with her green eyes. A small smile appeared on her face. "I think I love the name."
"That's good," Andrew said. "I'll be downstairs. Take your time to get ready. Oh, and your phone is on the side of the bed."
Aria turned and saw a phone in a green case. "Oh, ok. Thanks for the phone. I'll go freshen up now," she said.
"Ok," Andrew replied, turning to leave.
As Andrew closed the door behind him, Aria couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. The room, the clothes, the phone - everything seemed so new and unfamiliar. She picked up the phone and examined it, trying to remember if she had ever seen it before. But her memories remained elusive, shrouded in a thick fog. With a sigh, Aria put the phone down and began to get ready, her green eyes gazing at her reflection in the mirror. Who was she, really? And what had happened to her past?
Aria finished getting ready and admired her outfit. The green dress was cute, and it seemed like Andrew really liked that color. She grabbed her bag and phone, put on her shoes, and headed out the door.
The hallway was white with pictures on the walls. Aria remembered what Andrew had said about just going downstairs. She walked down the hall and found the staircase. Looking down, she saw a boy in a blue shirt and black pants. Even from up here, he looked charming.
As she walked down, Andrew, who was on the phone with Evelyn, saw her. He hung up. "You look beautiful, Aria," he said.
"Oh, thanks," Aria replied, blushing.
"Shall we?" Andrew asked, holding out his hand.
Aria took his hand, and they left the building.
A car was waiting outside. Andrew opened the door for Aria. "Thanks," she said softly, getting in. Andrew got in too, and they drove off.
As they drove through the city, Aria gazed out the window, taking in the sights and sounds. The buildings seemed to blur together, but she felt a sense of excitement and wonder. Andrew sat beside her, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. Every so often, he'd glance over at her, a small smile playing on his lips. Aria felt a flutter in her chest, but she couldn't quite explain why. She turned back to the window, watching as the city gave way to a sprawling campus. "We're here," Andrew said, his voice low and smooth. The car pulled up to a grand entrance, and Aria's eyes widened as she took in the sight of the university.
