Chapter 19: Imagining Us

Abigail’s POV

I was about to enter back into the chaos of the party when I decided I was better away from it.

Walking towards the garden, I tried to clear my head from everything that was going on. The night was calm, and that helped me feel more relaxed. I could still hear the voices from the party, but the further I walked, the less I could hear them. The sound of the wind against the trees and the water of the very wide pool were a more welcoming sound to my ears.

Everything that had happened during the night felt like a roller coaster of emotions to me, and I needed to take some time alone to think clearly, and figure out a way to compose myself. I was always in control; I needed to remember that.
